Paradise

K's Choice Quiet little place lyrics

Sam turned over in her sleep. She usually tossed and turned from nightmares he knew nothing about, but tonight she looked calm and serene. He stared at the way her blonde hair stuck cutely up from under the blanket, and the way her nose slightly twitched when she was sleeping, and he couldn't help but wonder why he would rather be anywhere but here.

In this quiet little place

I can't remember having known a different pace

In this quiet little place

I can surrender to the beauty of its face

She smiles in her sleep and he can't help smile too. He doesn't know what she sees in him, and really he doesn't care, but he knows she loves him, and he knows he loves her.

He settles back, running a quick finger along her soft, calm cheek, before closing his eyes and drifting into sleep.

And now everything I see

Whether it's an airplane or a tree

It makes me wonder

About the things I must have missed

And the chains around my wrists

They are no longer

She wakes up and looks at him. Jack might not be the most beautiful person on Earth, but neither was she. It was his inside that always shone, his sarcastic remarks that always made her laugh and the way his eyes, change with every mood that left her drawn to them. She loves him like nothing she ever knew before, she knew she would rather be with no one else.

In this quiet little place

I can't imagine what it's like to be back home

Where they care about what time it is

And spend their days answering the phone

Smiling and the small grin planted on his face, she reaches over and lightly tousles his hair, before lying back and shutting her eyes. His slight snores lulled her into sleep once again, her nose twitched slightly as she began to dream, and the smile grew as she dreamt about Jack, wishing he was with her every moment, whether it be daytime, night time, and the time where she was dreaming, for her biggest wish and fantasy, was that he was with her.

And now everything I feel

Whether it's fiction or it's real

It's so much clearer

Like the color of this light

It seems more dangerous and bright

But I don't fear her

In the morning they would wake, they would pretend they never loved each other.

They would act as the perfects soldiers.

They would laugh and act as if they were great friends.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

And slowly it fades, I'm back in the race

I have to fight it, I know

I don't want to go away

In the morning they would return the Earth and continue their jobs, regulations and laws keeping them from doing what they were doing now, just enjoying each others company as they thought about a future together. But for now, while they were in this world, they would enjoy it.

It was paradise.

In this quiet little place

You run your fingers through my hair and whisper "Hey"

And no matter how I try

I can't seem to think of anything better to say
