Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.
A/N: NaruSaku, slight SasuSaku drabble. I was bored in math class. This is un-beta-read as of now. I might upload a beta-read version if I ever get around to asking my beta reader to um…beta it.
Kissed Goodbye
The joke was over when Sakura said, "I do."
Sasuke stared, as if he had just arrived, (which he hadn't; he'd been watching the whole time, as he was the best man) at the scene before him. Sakura, her lips against her new husband's in a chaste wedding kiss, glowed in such a way befitting only a bride.
When Sakura had started dating Naruto the summer after she turned nineteen, Sasuke didn't care. Nor did he care when on date turned into three, or when their one-year anniversary rolled around. Sasuke knew Sakura, you see – she was trying to smother her feelings for Sasuke by turning to Naruto. Sasuke scoffed at this. It would never work. He waited patiently for her to return to his legion of admirers – not that he missed her presence or her constant requests for dates, he just became accustomed to her and he did not like sudden change.
Sasuke entertained Naruto's enthusiasm in his, what Sasuke called, "pseudo-relationship." Even when Naruto showed Sasuke the delicate diamond engagement ring. Even when Naruto asked him to be the best man.
Even when he watched Sakura marry Naruto.
I think I've waited too long…
