"Kyoooooooooooo-kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!" Kagura cried as she crashed through the paper door, shattering it.

("Is everyone conspiring to ruin my house?" Shigure shook his head.)

Kyou jumped up and started running for the forest behind the house, but didn't get far. Kagura caught him by the sleeve and swung him around. "Kyou-kun! Why didn't you call! I missed you so muuuuuuuuuuuuch!" She let go and he slammed hard into a nearby tree, sliding down to the bottom, where he lay, motionless. Seconds later..

"Kyou-kun! My goodness! Who did this to you? Oh, I'll.."

"You did," he muttered, opening his eyes.

Kagura went all sparkly again. "My love!"

"Just leave me alone!" Kyou shouted, and ran into the woods, leaving Kagura sitting there. She stood back up and walked back into the house.

"So, Kagura, will you be staying overnight?" Shigure asked, trying to brighten her mood. She perked up and said

"I can?"

Shigure mentally flinched, thinking of how horrible his house would look in the morning, and plastered on a bright smile. "Of course!"

"Yay!" Kagura bounced up. "I'm gonna go tell Kyou-kun!" She ran back into the woods.

That night, everyone slept in their own rooms, except Kyou on the roof because Kagura had put him out. He didn't like that room much anyway..

He crept down the hallway, on his was back from the bathroom, even more silent as he passed Kagura's room. He paused as he heard someone talking inside. Peering in, he saw Kagura, tangled up in a pile of blankets, talking in her sleep.

"Kyou-kun...I..love you...why don't you love me" She twisted around so that she was facing him, and he flinched, worrying she'd wake up and see him. Instead, she kept sleeping, and talking. "Kyou-kun..what have I ever done for you to hate me? I try to make you...love me..but...it never works..you hate me. I could never..be afraid of you now...my...Kyou...chan..." Tears were streaming down her face.

Having heard enough, Kyou silently walking back outside and climbed onto the roof, where he pondered what he had just heard.

Kyou-chan.. He thought. She called me Kyou-chan. But she hasn't done that since..since we were just kids. He thought back.

"Kyou-chan! Over here" Kagura waved to him. "We can eat over here"

She spead out the cloth over the fresh green grass and started taking out different foods from a basket. Kyou walked over to join her, and together they ate, while Kagura talked about whatever it was she could think of, be it hair ribbons or the new school she had just started going to.

The scene changed.

He was in his true form, while a young Kagura ran away, screaming.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

The shriek echoed through his head. Then the scene changed again.

Kyou was hugging Kagura and crying into her shoulder, while he rubbed his back comfortingly.

Kyou and Kagura were playing in the dirt, tracing pictures.

Kyou and Kagura, sitting together at the New Year's Festival.

Kyou and Kagura, inseparable.

He dozed off, these images still pasted in his mind.

The next morning, Kagura was up bright and early, having told Tooru to take the morning off from her housework and sleep in, and was making breakfast when Kyou walked in. There was a moment of awkward silence, while Kagura decided whether or not to pounce on him, but then he spoke.

"Kagura."

Her heart started pounding and she looked down, afraid of what he would say.

"H-hai?"

She heard no answer, and squeezed her eyes shut, but then she felt a strong pair of arms around her.

"K-kyou..kun?"

"Ohayou, Kagura-chan."

"Ohayou..Kyou…chan."
