Seras Victoria went up to the kitchen to pick up some blood packets to put in the refrigerator in her room. She hated to make Walter go through the trouble of bringing them to her. He was still recovering from an injury. The butler would never admit it, but sometimes the trips to the basement tired him out. It was then that she heard someone call her name.
"Seras Victoria, can you come here a second?" Integral Hellsing asked. She was standing in her office in front of her desk.
The vampire was sure it had something to do with the mission tomorrow. Integral rarely talked to her or anyone else about personal things. She was just that kind of person. It didn't make her any less beautiful to the vampire – just out of her reach. Seras tried to ignore her feelings since that first time when Integral had cut her finger to give her some of her own blood. She just couldn't stop thinking about her and that moment. Seras Victoria kept her feelings to herself only dreamt about something happening between the two of them someday.
"Yes, Sir - do you need something?" Seras asked as she walked towards her commander.
Integral started walking towards her terrace. When Seras didn't follow her, she turned around. "Well Seras, come here. I want to show you something." She grinned at the police girl.
Seras was stunned. She could not think of what Sir Hellsing wanted her for. She followed her outside to the terrace. It was a perfect night to be out. The moon was full and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Seras smiled at the beauty of the night. "What is it, Sir?"
They stood on the terrace looking over the trees on the Hellsing property. "Look over here." Integral said as she pointed to what looked like stars that were moving.
"Oh my God, is that what I think it is? Is it a shooting star?"
Integral nodded. "Yes, it is a beautiful sight, isn't it?"
Seras shook her head. As she looked at Integral, Seras couldn't help but notice how beautiful the Hellsing Leader looked in moonlight. If she had been human, Integral would have taken her breath away. The shooting star and moonlight reflected off of her pale blonde hair.
Integral glanced over at Seras and caught her starting at her. She didn't say anything. Instead a small smile formed on her lips. It was the sign that Seras had been hoping for. She struggled to find the courage to put her hand over Integral's. It was inches away from her on the terrace railing. So close but so far away. Finally, the vampire did it – sure that Integral would push it away. But, she didn't. The Hellsing heir instead turned her head towards Seras, and smiled. "Now that wasn't so hard was it?" Integral followed her statement with a chuckle.
"You have no idea, Sir." Seras laughed nervously herself but she did not move her hand. The two stood there for the next hour, Seras holding Integral's hand, watching the beautiful meteor showers and shooting stars. The night was perfect and at that moment Seras wanted nothing more. It was enough to just Integral's hand and enjoy the beauty of what she had chosen to share with her.
