-Raining-
It was poring. The rain came down in booms of thunder from the sky. Heavy and harsh droplets pelted two running figures, without umbrellas, caught in the sudden downpour. Lightening flashed and lit up the sky. Their silhouettes were brightened. Wet outlines appeared of different colors, all drowned in the water.
The tallest of the pair ran first, hand clasped with the second as he led the way through the puddles. His hair, slate bangs and a navy back mixed beautifully, like the contrast of the night sky itself, clung to his face. Ruby orbs blinked through the fallen mess scattered upon his forehead. He could not see as the darkness engulfed the sky until another bolt came crashing to the ground. His scarf fluttered behind him, catching the wetness in its woven fibers.
A squeeze was felt in his hand from the other, whose fingers laced them tightly together. Then, a whimper resonated in the stillness through the clattering water. He looked back, and suddenly stopped. Amber eyes met his. The black lashes swooped down amidst the ebony hair, haphazardly clinging to a tanned face.
He looked so innocent, soaked through and through. His long, raven mane slowly became unbound. The fat drops of water, still falling from the clouds, overhead had beaten down the ivory binding and red claps. Somewhere, back in the distance, the crimson elastic lay forgotten. The white wrap had loosened and when the tip dabbed into a puddle, it began to unravel.
Now, they stood there, one veiled by his lengthy tresses and the other admiring them. Fingers untwined themselves from the other set and dove into the silky damp hair. It was such a rare occasion to see every strand shine under the moonlight and lightening. His other arm snaked around a slender waist as his fingers gently tugged on the locks he gripped.
The head of ebony tilted back and looked up at him as a pair of lips captured his mouth. They felt soft against his, warm and slick. Neither sought or craved the raw passion to the meshing, but rather, chastely kissed. They breathed in deep against the hot sensation. A darker hand reached out for the slate strand. Instead, they gripped the silk material of a certain scarf.
Each kiss was brief and renewed with another. They no longer felt the rain and only each other. In that sole moment, only they existed. The world faded all around them. There was only Kai and Rei, expression their love, alone, under the stormy weather and night's obscurity.
