DISCLAIMER: Bleach isn't mine. It belongs to Kubo Tite. And this is just my interpretation of the Byakuya/Hisana relationship, based on the small snippets we've seen of it. You could disagree with me entirely, and that's fine.
Haha, my fics just seem to be getting shorter and shorter, eh?
Dainty fingers combed through his hair, unraveling each strand from the kenseikan. Silence thickened the air until he could taste it, falling upon the words unsaid at the tip of his tongue. The silence was companionable, maybe. It was the conversation that was unusual, never even brushing the line between small talk and real, memorable communication.
It was their actions that did most of the speaking. The gentle tug of her delicate hands, the soft sighs his clothing made as he shifted nearer to her. Everytime Byakuya inched closer, his wife would pull away a bit more, a flush tinging her fair cheeks. Three years of marriage and still, his advances had to be made in the dark for her to accept them.
"Almost done, Byakuya-sama." Hisana muttered, dragging her fingers through his freed hair. They brushed against the back of his neck and he closed his eyes, relishing that soft touch, even if it was accidental. Even if it was involuntary.
Tentatively, she rested her hands on his shoulders, the weight as light as if she had not been touching him at all. In fact, if it weren't for the faint heat of her hands through the fabric of his clothing, he wouldn't have believed she was touching him, even if he could see it. He took her small hand with his forefinger and thumb, examining its utter, tiny perfection. Hisana seemed carved out of porcelain.
He glanced up at her and she offered him a weak smile. Eyes still trained on her face, he brought her hand to his lips and placed the most delicate of kisses on each knuckle. Something unreadable flickered over her face and she pulled her hand away slowly.
"Shall we sleep now?"
Nodding, he rose from his seat and followed her into the bedroom where it was dark and he would be able to touch her however he pleased.
