Demeter and Bombalurina: Just Two More Agents

How long could you be held captive without showing a sign of despair?
Sinking so low, becoming so vapid, and whispering ineffable words to the air?
Hiding yourself to become just two more agents in a grand master scheme,
Just one more duo- two more sights to behold and be seen.

How do you describe the feeling of such horrible despair?
A scream of terror peeling through the cold mountain air,
To be hurt and ignored for just a few days,
And have no one beside you to give you praise,

Hiding yourself to become just one more agent in a broader plan,
Working solo, working alone, with life becoming so bland?
Or to find a poor creature abused and alone,
Not knowing misery, and then being shown?
Wanting to leave, to fly away home?
And then working together, to save all you've known?

Becoming a duo, just another partnership in the background,
And becoming spies within spies, the only around?

Could you survive in the darkness, darkness so pure-
That it scares your eyes, your mouth and your ears?
Or the blinding light that burns your skin-
And awakens the horror you once knew within?

This is our duo, our grand duet, our final song,
Our last piece together, our last righting of wrong,
The moments are now numbered, there's little to do,
Save for wait for our train and bid you adieu.
