Danny Fenton, in ghost mode was flying over to Sam's house at… he looked at his watch, 9:30 pm. This watch has to be wrong, he thought.

Then he shivered. It is way too cold outside to be flying, he thought. Another raindrop whipped against his face. And wet.

He had started this habit of visiting her room every night since he had realized he loved her. After Ember cast her spell he realized how real his love for Sam actually was. But he could never tell her. They had been friends forever and he wouldn't be able to stand not being able to see her when she rejected him. At least he would be close to her as a friend.

Danny Phantom suddenly phased into his best friend's room, changing into Danny Fenton.

"Sam?", he said, looking around.

She should be here, he thought. Her music's on and everything.

Then a song he knew came on. The name of it escaped him for some reason. He heard Sam start humming from the bathroom as this next song came on. It started with some rather exotic-sounding music and then a velvety male voice came on.

Baby, the clock on the wall is lying

It's not really that late

It's too cold outside to be walking around the streets of this town

And wherever you think you have to be… can wait

Then Sam came out toweling her black hair in her nightgown. Danny was shocked. She looked gorgeous. She didn't see him because she had her eyes closed. As the next verse began, she joined the singer.

Danny just watched her. He never realized that she could sing this well. Sam seemed to be pouring herself into this song. She twirled around and then swayed back and forth with her eyes still closed. As the next verse began Danny joined her singing.

Sam finally heard his voice and her eyes widened in shock. She went to turn off the music but Danny pulled her towards himself. Still singing he began to dance with Sam.

And it's so warm here in this apartment wrapped up in this blanket

Sam relaxed in his arms and put her arms around his neck. She smiled at him and joined in singing.

Danny pulled apart from her ever so slightly so he could look into her beautiful purple eyes as they both sang the last line.

Danny leaned forward and kissed Sam. They stood like this long after the music stopped.
