I think I can escape from you,
(Though I don't know if I want to),
And then I find you've followed me,
(I don't know if I am unhappy.)
This wild Christmastime is wrong,
I'm told this season should be calm,
(But nothing is, for me.)
Hope, Strength, and Song,
(And Beauty, too),
Between us there's no room for you,
And yet you're here despite.
Everything is different now,
(And though I've said it all before),
This time it's true,
I know what I must do,
(And I need not only help from you.)
