Why?

Rey Mysterio walked down the hallway of the arena that SmackDown was at that night. He sighed, ever since Eddie had died Rey had been alone, sure he had Dave I mean Dave had gone through the same thing, he had lost a good friend as well but it wasn't the same.

Rey looked up as he got into the bustling catering room, he walked over to the Buffet table and started to pile his plate with food "Rey, umm hi" Rey turned around to see Chris Beniot, the two were silent for a moment then unexpectedly the both embraced "Man Chris, I miss him so much!" Rey mumbled, Chris nodded "Don't worry Rey, im here so is Dave you'll always have us" Rey nodded "Thanks Esse" Chris nodded "Its no problem Rey" Rey gave him a weak smile and left catering with the same sinking feeling in his stomach he had when he came in.

Rey walked back to his locker room and looked at the room next to him which was empty, which would have been Eddies if he had been here. Rey stood there staring at it unable to hold the tears inside anymore. Rey rubbed his eyes and turned to his locker room he walked in where he sat down on a bench and stared at the wall remembering all the good times he and Eddie had shared,

FLASHBACK

"1 2 3, and Eddie and Rey have done it, that's right folks your looking at the new tag team champions Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio!" "Your right Cole, they have finally done it" Rey grinned over at Eddie as they embraced as they pulled apart Eddie whispered in his ear "I knew we could do it esse" Rey smiled and they both raised there championships high in the air as the fans screamed, EDDIE, REY, EDDIE, REY!

END OF FLASHBACK

Rey smiled Eddie had been so proud of there titles and as soon as they had gotten backstage, he had started flaunting it around while Rey laughed and followed him. After there blockbuster win the two became inseparable and were always together it was very rare to see one without the other.

Rey laughed as he remembered all the times Eddie had insulted Superstars, but that's exactly what Eddie did he got himself into dangerous situations and would talk or charm himself out of it, that was one of the things Rey liked most about Eddie the fact that he never stopped smiling.

If Eddie smiled it made everyone around him smile, if you were ever upset Eddie could just smile and just like that you would feel happy again. Eddie was a great friend and a wave of sadness washed overRey as he looked up to the sky and whispered "you lied, you cheated and you stole our hearts Eddie" Rey smiled as he knew that Eddie was looking down on him and smiling.
