When they spar he tells himself its not because her eyes light up like the Daedalus's engines going into hyperspace when he challenges her.
When he makes her smile, the one of surprise and pleasure, like when he stayed behind to mend fences voluntarily when Hermiod flew the Daedalus around to fix the hyper drive after the Goa'uld incident, its not because he hasn't seen a smile like that since he graduated top of his class and his mother practically jumped up and started cheering in the middle of the ceremony because 'oh-my-god-her-boy-was-actually-doing-something-with-his-life!' (Sometimes Sheppard reminds him of himself so much that it scares him and then he has to go spouting rules to him so he doesn't actually start liking the guy(that part hasn't actually started working yet)) Because it makes his stomach flutter when she turns it on him.
When he makes her laugh he tells himself its not because her laughter rings clearer then Beethoven's fifth, his favorite or the Ode to Joy because he actually knows some damn good knock knock jokes.
When he makes her scream with pleasure he smiles and lets her cuddle and pillow talk him for about an hour because he's a softy like that and she always laughs and smiles when he does. She always tried to bargain with him to make it longer then an hour but he's a guy not a god and he told her that last night and she laughed and made him promise to give her an hour in the morning to. They both fell asleep at half an hour in the morning and an hour at night.
