Made To Be Broken.
She was leaving. And there was nothing he could do to stop it.
A lump constricted his throat as he thought back to their fight.
Flashback
"Why are you even here?" He screamed to her face, her emotionless
façade making him even more angry.
"You were the one that saved me from hell, Robin." She stated.
"Yeah?" He breathed, quietly. "Well maybe I shouldn't have."
End flashback
And just like that, Robin had done what no other person had managed.
He made her cry.
He watched as she assured the other members that they were blameless. She never came to tell him that.
She was out of the door before he realised that this was real.
Raven was leaving.
And it was all his fault.
"Raven, wait!"
He caught her just outside the door. He took her wrists in his hands, willing her not to pull from his grip. She didn't.
"Don't go Raven. I didn't mean it."
"But you said it."
It was a statement. Robin felt his heart break as he saw a tear slide down her pale cheek.
Only I make her cry.
"I won't hurt you again."
Raven stared at him.
"I promise!" He begged.
At this, Raven pulled from his grip, and pressed something into his hand. It was a tiny statue of a black raven. The wings were cracked. Raven stared at them, tears falling from her amethyst eyes, an unnatural wind lifting her cloak and hair.
"I was made to be broken. Just like your promises."
And when Robin looked up, she was gone.
