This was the most troublesome mission he had ever been on
Even if he was a genius

He'd rather be sleeping or watching the clouds

So very troublesome
And this mission was to rescue a Suna kunoichi
From an ambush she didn't even know was happing
Even more troublesome was the woman herself
He hadn't seen her for almost a year
Not since she had last come to visit him
They had been in love
But complications had arisen including the Sound Wars
He still loved her
And it was still troublesome
He couldn't get her out of his mind
Then he saw her
She was standing in a clearing
Sipping a cup of water
Unaware that she was completely surrounded by Sound ninja's
He scowled
So very troublesome
She finally realized that she was surrounded
But it was too late
There were too many of them
Not even her fan could blow them away
He sighed and formed some simple hand seals
Jumping out of the tree he landed beside her
She looked very shocked to see him
Then the ninja's were about to attack
But none of them came
All of them were standing like him even had the same hand seal
He laughed
' How do you like my Kage Mane Jutsu?'
' Now time to say bye bye'
He reached down and pulled a kunai knife out of his holder
And put it too his neck
They all did the same
' What are you doing idiot!'
Snarled Temari
' You'll be killed too!'
Shikamaru smiled
' Mines blunted'
And pulled it across his throat
The sound Nin's fell to the ground
He dropped the knife
And turned to Temari
' Did you miss me?'
' Yes I did'
Her answer made him smile
' Welcome back to Konoha, troublesome woman'
She opened her mouth to retort but was silenced by his lips covering hers
He whispered I love you against her lips
Then pulled away and smiled
Taking each other's hand they began to walk back to the village
He just hoped that she would answer his next question with a yes
