Title: "Isn't That Show Called 'Bang's Anatomy?'"

Author: greyeyedgirl

Author's Note: This fic isn't really a story. It's just post or pre one-shots of Cristina and Burke's feelings during an episode, or what I think happens after an episode. It's just a random combination of pre-oneshots, which is where I take the preview and post what I think will happen (like I did with "Need-You Eyes" and "Unraveled") and post one-shots, which is what I think will happen just AFTER an episode ends (because, duh, they never enough C/B scenes in Grey's Anatomy.) Oh, and, lol, story title quite powerfully credited to Kirihiatna on the MoreThanCoffee board, my fellow BANG fan and Signature Banner Queen. :D

edit And BTW, even if you find this chapter boring, read chapter two, because it's my post-one shot for Burke and Cristina. From last night's episode. You know. With Cristina naked. Because you really think he let her just go into the bedroom:P :P :D

Episode:"Into You Like a Train." 2.06

Chapter Title: "Close Up"

By: thegreygirl (lol, that's greyeyedgirl to most of you. :D)

Disclaimer: I don't own Grey's Anatomy...why do I have to write a disclaimer anyway? Do TV shows REALLY sue little kids (like 14-year-old me) because they write fanfic? I so have never heard a case like that on "Celebrity Justice." Besides, hopefully Shonda Rhimes and whoever owns ABC or whatever has better things to do than go hunting to see who's wrote fanfic, and who remembered or didn't remember to add a disclaimer. But whatever. Just my slightly tired-of-always-having-to-add-a-disclaimer-because-I-start-typing-"Not affiliated with GA, ABC, blah blah blah"-then-forgetting-what-I-wanted to-write-about-because-I-have-no-brains-on-account-of-watching-9-hours-of-television-a-day-and-it-has-rotted-my-brain attitude. : ) O/T though, lol...I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE MEGA AWESOME GREY'S ANATOMY. Shonda Rhimes, if you are reading this, I hope you are happy. And that you enjoy the fic. And thank you for creating Grey's Anatomy. I love you a little. I read that you wrote the screenplay for "The Princess Diaries 2." Good job on that. Really. It's a cute little movie. : )

Is it possible to be mad at some one but then really, really not mad at the same time? That's how Cristina Yang felt whenever she thought about Preston Burke. She still felt the pang of annoyance when she thought of Burke not helping her with the leg. She hadn't been asking him because he was her boss, and she had been sleeping with him to get ahead. She'd been asking him because she was sleeping with him, and she had thought he could help her. Not as her boss, or her better. As her boyfriend. Her teammate.

She frowned, bristling slightly as she stretched out on the bottom bunk in the on-call room. She had made the last move, it was thanks to HER that they were now boyfriend-girlfriend. By, "we're a couple, whatever, don't make a big deal out of it," she had meant, "I want to be with you because you are amazing and I love you, but if you ever quote me on that, I will kill you and sell your body parts for cash," and he had known that. She rolled over, her mind racing. ALEX had gotten her surgery. She growled. Evil spawn stole surgeries. And he had gotten hers. It was Burke's fault.

She wanted to be mad...she was mad. But also not. He infuriated her, he infatuated her. She hated him, she loved him. That's what bugged her about this boyfriend business. How Burke had gotten under her skin. It was completely different from the usual things she liked. She couldn't see the general outline of facts and understand it. There were still the fascinating, subtle details, but it was different because this time when Cristina tried to look at the close up, things got fuzzy. Everything else flew away, and all there was was her and Burke.

The on-call room door opened with a little click. Cristina knew who it was even with her eyes closed and her head covered. She wrapped the sheet tighter around her.

"Cristina?" Burke's voice was always deep, not only in verbal but in philosophical lengths. He was saying so many things at once.

"Hi." Cristina had two different voices, one that was normal and scientific, factual, and one that was the one of a Girl, sweeter sounding and vulnerable. It was the latter that escaped.

She sensed Burke's smile instead of saw it. He sounded almost amused when he asked, "Are you mad at me?"

She had to be honest. "No."

There was a pause.

"Are you mad at me?"

She had pulled the sheet down from over her head, and this time Burke's smile reached her eyes. "No."

She nodded. "Okay."

She pulled the sheet down the rest of the way and patted the space on the bed. "Do you want to-?"

He layed down next to her and wrapped his arms around her, and they both closed their eyes. "G'night, Cristina."

"Good night."

a/n: I know, chapter one is short. :D I have other ideas for chapters, I might not post them in chronological order (like, chapters in the order that the episodes aired) but I'll always say what episode it's from.
