There Once Was A Man
There once was a man who lived on his shoes
He had two sons, their hearts were true
Sammy wanted to be a lawyer for the boys in blue
Dean wanted Sammy all for himself, never for you.
There once was a man who left for a while
Leaving his sons further behind, mile after mile
His boys, he knew, their relationship was vile
All because daddy went away for a while.
There once was a man who committed a great sin
He left his two sons again
The brothers, they loved through thick and thin
Ignoring Father's pleas time and time again.
There once was a man who hunted the unexplained
Training his sons as hunters, they never complained
Sammy hated this life, all his clothes bloodstained
Dean loved it all, thought he could handle it so long as Sammy remained.
There once was a man who called from time to time
He talked to his sons, trying to forget their crime
The brothers sometimes wish it could all be forgotten in one simple rhyme
Wishing they could go back to when life had been good, once upon a time.
