The shining light that emanated from the duel monster pierced the darkness of space, reaching the crimson eyes of the man who was now gazing up at it in wonder. This man, for the not the first time in his life, smiled.

Although now he knew that the end was coming, Amnael did not feel afraid. Instead, he felt pleased. Just like the cards were being returned to his deck, he felt all his worries drifting away as his chances disappeared. Yet, after all of this, he was not sad. Alchemy and fusion; both applied the same principles. Within this boy, this student he had coached, was his hope.

The hope to stop Kagemaru.
The hope of finding something more.
The hope of alchemy.
