Tragedy of the Elrics

Gold and silver eyes hieghtened by sadness

Scars that just won't heal

Losing everything that is precious

Please, mother, don't go

Sweet mother, why did you leave us?

Death carried you away

As we put your coffin into the ground

And left us here to stay.

Hopeless we were without you,

How can we live on?

knowing that your not here,

How can we be strong?

We sought a teacher

to teach us what she could

we went back home

to where she you were

Circles of chalk,

blue heavenly light turned golden

we thought we were right

Hope came and hope fell

On that dreadful night

swirling, out of control

darkness swallowed the holy light

and left darkness in its wake

Silver eyes glanced no more

Instead red eyes looked down

No longer inside of a flesh body

replaced by steel

Golden eyes filled with pain

Arm and leg gone

ripped from his body now filled with pain

Sacrifice for life,

giving his arm

his brother's body

is now gone

And how will they continue

like soldiers gone to war

They will stand up and fight

That is life's dues

Tragedy upon tragedy

No longer a child

Grown up so fast

Never does childhood last
