A/N: I love this pairing. I really do. And I know my Xigbar muse is rather powerful now. It rivals my Zexion one. O.o;

Don't own the KH rights, blah blah blah.

"Xaldin?"

Xaldin sighed. He had to leave before Xemnas got really pissed off. "What is it, Xigbar?"

"Do you... You really do have to go don't you?" Xigbar was surprisingly somber.

"Our priorities are to make sure the Superior is safe and that Sora keeps fighting the Heartless. If I stall him now, then he'll fight more Heartless, Kingdom Hearts will come to us sooner." Xaldin sighed. This would have to of been the thousandth time he'd explained this to Xigbar.

"Can't help it, man, I mean... I'm gonna miss you," Xigbar stared at the floor. He hated saying things like those; he hated mushy melt-your-non-existent-heart moments.

"Hmph."

"Hey. When you go there, to Beast's Castle... don't you dare die on me, okay?"

"I have to take the fall, Xigbar. We can't afford to lose him."

"But why help us if you're not even going to be there to celebrate with us!" Xigbar was acting like a child.

"Look, are you drunk again? Or do you just sleep during the meetings? The Superior has told us over and over that if it's us or Sora, it's us to go."

"So he's the Superior, but he's only in this for himself? That's what 'yer saying, isn't it? Why die for a corrupt organization? You don't want to die honourably?"

"Isn't dying helping others an honourable cause?"

"Well, yeah, but I mean–"

"That's what I'm doing. I'm off. Xigbar." He turned to the door, opened it, and then stopped.

"Yeah?"

"I'm..." Xaldin turned to face the older Nobody. "I'm going to miss you too."

Xigbar looked down at Sora from his position higher up in the Hall of Empty Melodies. "Have you been a good boy lately?" Xigbar's eyes widened as his eyes focused on the keyblade master; moreover, the keyblade itself. He could practically see Xaldin's blood stained on its blade. "Oh? Looks like you haven't."

It was Xigbar's time to die an honourable death. He was ready. He embraced it.

He knew he would see Xaldin one last time.

I know, not the best, but this pairing needed some more love.
