Yuki looked out of the window, watching Tohru. She was hanging the landary to dry, but even from here, Yuki could plainly see the worry on her face.
"Stupid Cat..." Yuki sighed, "Making her worry by running off again..."
"YUUUUUUUUUUUKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"
The teenager let out a small groan as Shigure called. The author came into the room, holding out a small white box.
"Yuki, what's this?"
Yuki looked at the small box, then his eyes started to widen. He ran over and grabbed the box from Shigure's hands as Shigure had started to open it. Shigure blinked, and Yuki could plainly see the tag from the box in Shigure's hand. Shigure looked at the tag, then looked at Yuki. A sly smile grew over his face.
"... What, Shigure?" Yuki asked. The writer just continued to grin at the teenager. Yuki shook his head and walked back upstairs to his bedroom. Once the door was shut, he opened the box to find the golden necklace still within its walls. The small strawberry Charm shined back into Yuki's violet eyes. He closed the box again, then tucked the box into his pocket, then slowly walked downstairs. From the slight noise, he guessed Tohru was in the kitchen.
He looked around, then turned, and walked into the kitchen. Tohru was running around checking random dishes she was creating. He noticed the bowl of strawberries they had picked yesterday from the secret base. Yuki's hand cluthed the small box in his pocket. He took in a slow breath, then spoke up.
"It smells wonderful in here,"
Tohru jumped, turning to see Yuki, "Oh! Yuki! I didn't hear you come in. You scared me!"
Yuki smiled slightly, "Forgive me, Miss Honda, I didn't mean to,"
Tohru returned the smile, then bit her lip, "... Kyo isn't back yet, is he?"
Yuki shook his head, "Stupid cat..." He couldn't help thinking. Tohru looked at the floor. Yuki blinked, then walked up in front of her. She was crying.
"Miss Honda?" Yuki asked, worry creeping into his voice. Tohru let out a small sniffle.
"I'm worried about him... After that fight you two had, I was scared both of you would just leave Shigure's home..."
Yuki was speechless for reply. However, he knew he had to comfort her somehow. He sighed. Ignoring the curse's effect, he hugged her. As though the curse knew of the moment, the violet smoke surrounded the two teenagers, and Yuki found himself shrinking. Tohru kept the hug up, Yuki lightly pressed to her chest.
"I'm sorry for making you worry..." Yuki whispered. Tohru sniffed, setting Yuki on the floor. The two sat in silence, then the violet smoke filled the kitchen once again, and Tohru turned before it cleared, letting Yuki replace his clothes on. There was another moment of silence, then Yuki remembered the necklace. He removed the box from his pocket, then looked over his shoulder at Tohru.
"... Miss Honda?"
Tohru looked over at him. Yuki silently walked over and sat down next to her, placing the small box in front of her, "... I truly wish... that you will forgive me for worrying you,"
Tohru sniffed again, taking up the small box and removing the lid. Her mouth opened slightly in awe at the necklace, "Oh, Yuki, you shouldn't have. I don't nee-"
Yuki put a single finger over Tohru's lips. His face leaned in closer and he whispered, "Yes you do. No one else has a true reason to wear it, Miss Honda,"
Tohru turned a slight shade of pink. Yuki removed his finger, only his arm moving. The two stared at each other for a moment.
Yuki wasn't sure who moved, but soon their lips had met in the center of where they were.
The kiss was as sweet as a strawberry.
