Summary: Amity Park now knows Danny is both Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom, and Paulina decides to grab him before anyone else can. The gang is 25, just so you know.
"Don't Leave Me, Danny"
"Hey Danny," came a voice.
"Hey, Paulina," Danny said, gloomily.
"What's wrong, Danny. You are possibly the best superhero this town has ever had."
"And yet, I still don't have a girlfriend,"
"I can help you with that." Paulina said, slyly.
"How?"
"I volunteer myself, because I deserve someone of your standing in society."
"Really?" Danny said with a look of pure bliss.
"Yes, and if you don't mind, I'd like to offer up my hand in marriage."
"Moving a little fast, don't you think?"
"Of course not."
"Let me think about it," he said with grinand even more bliss. "I'll get back to you tomorrow."
"Okay," she said with a smile. "Bye, Danny."
"Bye."
From the shadows a few feet away, a young woman's eyes began to fill with tears, as it seemed her best friend was slipping from her grasp, for the last time.
Later that night, on a park bench she pulled out her cell phone, and called an old friend.
"Hello?" a voice on the other end answered.
"Hey Tucker? This is Sam, got a minute?"
"Yeah, just put the twins down, and Valerie went to bed not five minutes ago. So why are you calling me at a quarter to ten?"
"I think I'm losing Danny to Paulina, for the last time."
"What makes you say that?"
"In a way she proposed to him, and he said all but yes."
"And you want him all to yourself? Am I right?"
"No...yes."
"Tell him how you feel, and see if he feels the same way, if he doesn't, I don't know what to tell you."
"Okay." She said pausing, "Tuck?"
"Yeah?"
"What if they do get married, and I get stuck by myself?"
"That will make two people very sad."
"Who else?"
"Me."
"Why you?"
"For over ten years, I always knew you two would end up together, and that you would both be perfect for each other."
"You really think so?"
"No...I know so."
"Thanks, Tuck."
"No problem."
Not ten feet away, sitting at the base of a tree, listening to every word Sam had said, Danny Fenton sat in a state of shock, knowing that if he had said yes to Paulina, he would never again make a bigger mistake. Danny, went ghost, flew to Sam's house, and waited.
Eventually, Sam returned home and found a surprise on her couch in her front room.
"How could I ever live without Danny?" Sam said aloud.
"You won't ever have to find out." Danny said, startling her.
"How'd you get in here?" She began. "Wait, don't answer that." Danny smirked.
"How much did you hear of my conversation with Paulina?"
"What are you talking about?" Sam asked.
"I heard everything you said to Tucker on the phone."
"I heard the whole conversation, and had a perfect view of the pure bliss on your face." Sam said.
"Okay, while you were on the phone with Tuck, I realized if I had said to Paulina what I wanted to right then, that would have been the biggest mistake I would ever make." Danny said, filling Sam's eyes with tears. "And now, I just want you to know," his voice trailed off. "I love you Samantha," he said standing up.
"I love you too, Daniel." Sam said with tears of joy in her eyes.
He walked over to her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and bent his neck down to kiss her, as she put her arms around his neck, kissing him back.
