Everyone always writes about Ron and Hermione or Harry and Ginny or James and Lily. Don't get me wrong because I love those pairings too but I like Parvati/Neville. I think that would be the cutest couple but no one ever writes about them. So, here is my story!

They had nothing in common.

He was clumsy and uncoordinated. She was graceful and poised.

He couldn't speak to a girl without stumbling on his words and making a fool of himself. She couldn't remember the last time she didn't have a boyfriend.

He loved Herbology. She hated anything that had to do with dirt.

Her favorite subject was Divination and he couldn't predict the future to save his life.

And yet, there was one special thing that they shared: They were both completely and utterly in love with one another.

He completed her. He made her whole. She didn't understand how she went almost 7 years knowing him but not loving him.

She couldn't remember exactly when she had stopped thinking of him as Neville Longbottom, the clumsy but sweet boy with a horrible memory and started thinking of him as Neville Longbottom, the handsome, caring, brave, loyal man of her dreams. She liked to think that it wasn't because he had come back to Hogwarts in 7th year looking so drop-dead gorgeous that every girl had stopped in there tracks to stare at him. No, she liked to think that it was because he had returned to Hogwarts in 7th year looking mature and that the little boy who had lost his remembrall so many times was finally grown up. Of course, his new look was definitely an added bonus.

But she would love him no matter what he looked like. Because Neville Longbottom was her soulmate.

She meant the world to him. He loved her more than he ever thought he could love someone. Of course, it hadn't always been this way. He always thought she had been pretty but a bit superficial. His point had been proven when he had grown into his looks the summer before 7th year. He returned to Hogwarts only to have Parvati Patil, the prettiest, most popular girl in Gryffindor, pay much more attention to him. She flirted with him every day but he didn't respond to it the way she expected him to. He was perfectly nice to her but he didn't want to be another meaningless boyfriend. He finally told her that when she was ready to have a real relationship, she should let him know, but he wasn't going to go out with her just because she suddenly thought he was good-looking.

It was only the next day when she came running up to him and listed everything she loved about him. Not once did she mention anything about his appearance.

It was the happiest day of his life and they've been together ever since. She was his first and only love and he knew that they would be together forever.

Because it didn't matter how different they were. It didn't matter that they had only really, truly known each other and loved each other after 6 years of seeing each other every day. Everything about them just meshed together.

Because Neville Longbottom and Parvati Patil were meant to be.
