He was used to people staring.

If he had his body, he probably would have smiled at the little girl staring at him, but smiling is hard when you're a suit of armor, so instead he waved. The little girl blushed and looked away.

As he sat down her heard a woman whisper, "Sophie, stop staring."

Ed laughed as he plopped down next to Al. "I think she has a crush on you."

"What? No, that's ridiculous, Brother. People just aren't used to seeing a suit of armor walking around," Al protested.

"Sophie, sit back down!"

Al turned as he heard the woman raise her voice, only to find the little girl approaching him. She stopped next to him with wide eyes. "You sure are shiny, Mister. I like you!"

He barely got the chance to mutter a surprised thank you before the girl was escorted back off by her mother.

When he looked back at his brother, Ed's face was twisted up in an attempt to keep from bursting out in laughter.

"Don't you dare laugh, or I'll tell her that you're my big brother," Al warned.

Ed swallowed his laughter as he recalled the times children had been stumped by the shorter of them being the older brother.
