Authors Note: This is a poem that I made a long time ago in memory of my Aunt Cathy, but I tweaked it a little and made it fit for Shadows last moments with Maria. I'm sorry if it sounds sad, I don't usually write like this, but I was sad when I wrote it. Also this is my first piece of writing to be submitted.

In That Moment

In that moment, in that time,

I looked into her dying eyes.

A light stirring in them beckoned,

Growing ever fainter by the second.

With a promise she let me go,

Sending me down to the planet below.

Then no breath I heard again,

Pass the lips of the fair maiden.

In that moment, in that time,

A new thought had come to mind.

On how valuable love and life can be,

And how it can alter so easily.

In that moment death took her away,

Her soul had left but this memory will stay.
