This scene occurs Nine months after the ending of "No Time Left". I couldn't leave things as they were, I just had to do this. I hope you like it.

I don't own JAG but if I did, I would have shown Harm and Mac in the gym together way more often. Why have a cast with muscles if the audience never gets to see them?

This scene is a direct combination of my own experiences giving birth, and the several other delivery rooms I've been in while coaching my sisters. All I can say is, GOD BLESS EPIDURALS!

No Time Left - Epilogue

Mac gently smoothed a hand over the baby in her arms. Marveling at the softness of her fair newborn skin, the silkiness of her downy hair, the perfection of her tiny hand that now rested over Mac's heart. Love welled up as the baby latched on and began to nurse, a frown of concentration creasing her tiny brow.

A pair of familiar lips brushed Mac's forehead, and she grinned proudly up at her husband. He smiled back, his eyes still watery with emotion.

"Looks like she came out hungry," He said, brushing his finger tip over her little working cheek.

"Well, do you blame her? Being born takes a lot out of you."

He chuckled, "Took a lot out of Mom too." Concern shadowed his eyes. "You okay?"

She gave him a wry smile. "Ask me when the epidural wears off."

One Hour Previous

"Alright Sarah on the next contraction I need you to push with all you've got."

She panted, "Okay, but this isn't easy."

Harm leaned close. "What's wrong Mac, are the meds wearing off?"

"No, I just can't feel the contractions. Harm..."

"I'll let you know when it's starting," he said, as he stood between the bed and the monitor. When the needle began to rise, he stepped to her side. "Okay Mac, here we go. I'll help you."

Her fingers tightened on the railings of the bed, and every muscle in her body tensed as she bore down hard. Harm placed his hands on her belly pressing as the doctor directed him.

"That's good Sarah, I see a head of hair just waiting to be born. Rest for a minute, then one more push."

She collapsed back against the bed, trying to regulate her rapid breathing.

"You doing okay Marine?" Harm asked, and handed her a face cloth.

She wiped her brow and gave him a breathless grin. "Best workout I've ever had."

He laughed, "Well make this next one good, and you'll be able to rest."

She nodded, and took a swig of water to wet her lips. "Let's do it." She looked to Harm, "Are we ready?"

"They've been about 45 seconds apart, so it should be starting here in just a few." The needle once again began to rise. "Okay Marine, this is it."

They moved into position, and Mac gave it her all. Beads of sweat trickled down her temples.

"Okay Sarah, the head's out, one more little push and we'll have the shoulders." She complied, and the doctor held up a hand to signal for her to stop. "She's almost here." He grinned up from his perch at the foot of the bed. "Would you like to deliver your baby?"

Mac's eyes grew wide, and glowed with anticipation. She nodded and Harm put a warm hand on her back, as she leaned forward, took her baby girl by the shoulders, and pulled her into the world. The room erupted with gasps and applause. Harm slapped his hand over his heart, as it threatened to beat right out of his chest.Tears dropped from his cheeks to wet her hair as he kissed her over and over, and told her just how much he loved her. Mac's eyes locked on the squirming, crying miracle lying naked on her chest, and she wept a prayer of infinite thanks.

Present time

"She didn't eat much," Harm said as he watched his daughter drift into sleep.

"Harm her stomach is the size of a walnut. But don't worry, I'll have her on Beltway Burger's in no time."

"Bite your tongue Mackenzie!"

She laughed, and kissed the baby's head. "It's official Rabb, she's got my brains."

Harm smiled proudly. "Looks like it. The next one can look like you."

"You really think we'll be able to have a next one?"

"Mac, with us anything is possible." He gave her a soft kiss, then stepped back and picked up the camera. "Now hold her up and smile, I need a picture of my girls."

She lifted the baby against her cheek, and whispered, "Smile Audrey."

End of scene.
