Screams in the Night

Page one

"Welcome to the screaming forest. You should hurry through the maze or else the wicked souls trapped in here might grab you. If that happens you'll be trapped in there as well." the man outside the attraction said as a group of ten teenagers started walking through.

They all laughed and began their way through the house. A strobe light lit the narrow hallway. A man with his head under his arm jumped out at them. Everyone jumped back and shrieked. The man threw his head at them. The woman dragged the men down the maze.

The ten of them quickly rounded the corner onto an unsteady bridge. It swung back and forth with every step. One of the woman looked down into the green glowing light below them. A skeleton hand popped up and tried to grab her ankle. She screamed and all of her friends laughed. A robot lion roared as it jumped out of a cave on the side of the bridge. It just missed as it tried striking one of them. They all laughed as it feel to the mist down below. The laughter was instantly stopped when a woman's loud scream was heard.

"That was freaky," one of the boys laughed once they got off the bridge.

"Help me!" a woman yelled.

The scream was right in his ear. Everyone looked to the left and saw a row of shrunken heads. They all screamed again (the heads).

"Get out! Now!" a deep voice said behind them.

A cloaked figure stood behind them, a bloody scythe in hand. The person viciously swung the weapon. Again all the girls screamed and ran down the hallway. The leading girl slipped on something. Slowly she sat up and looked at her crimson stained hands. She looked up and shrieked. Above her dangled a woman, a sword through her forehead.

Eric and Ryan shinned their flashlights all over the dark attraction. Eric and Ryan were careful not to disturb the scene. Bloody footprints were all over the floor. The blood under the body was smeared from the girl running into it. Eric squatted to get a better look in the darkness. Ryan looked around only to have the heads scream. He jumped backwards.

Eric chuckled, "Did that scare you?"

"This place gives me the creeps. But it didn't scare me," Ryan mumbled.

Eric scoffed. Little did they know someone was watching them in the shadows of the house.
