The True End of Inuyasha
Disclaimer: I own neither the story nor the characters in this one shot unfortunately. And so to numb the pain, I have rewritten the fic my little sister wrote as a joke.
Summary: Everyone always imagines that by defeating Naraku a big battle will have to take place. Well…it doesn't really have to. That was proved in the ending (which was anticlimactic). They could have at least made it interesting...like what's written below for instance. Enjoy. Hopefully more than the ending of the real thing...
Inuyasha tugged his baseball cap lower over his eyes as he hurried along the dark streets of Tokyo. Reaching into his haori, he searched for the small pouch, relieved that what he needed was still there. He owed Souta for letting him borrow all of his allowance money.
Inuyasha shook his head a little to get his mind back on the objective of his late night mission. It was the best time to do it since Kagome was studying for another one of those stupid "tests". She couldn't know about his mission or she'd…. He let the sentence trail in his thoughts, not even wanting to think about what she'd do. Rushing into the store, he went straight to the back of the building, nervousness once again settling in the pit of his stomach.
The girl behind the counter seemed oblivious to the hanyou's worries as she flashed him a bright smile of recognition. "Your film is developed!" She pivoted then paused. Glancing back she said, "Inu…?"
"Yasha," the hanyou finished, distracted.
"Right," the girl chimed before going into the back and retrieving the small packages.
A few moments later, the girl came to front with the packages, curious at the sudden shade of red that her customer had turned. She rang up his purchases and smiled again as she told him the total. Her smile faded as she turned to look at him to see he was no longer there. On the counter there was a pile of money. With a confused shrug the girl counted the money and put it in the cash register. "What an odd one…."
Inuyasha quickly went back through the well, only to stand next to it, hand shaking terribly as he opened the packages and shifted through its contents. His face became bright red again as he closed the package and placed it carefully in his haori.
Hours later found him in the meeting spot. And once again, Inuyasha began to get nervous and uncertain. He was just about to turn and head back when a familiar silhouette came through the trees. Out of habit, the inu hanyou growled and his hand fell to his blade.
A dark chuckle came from the other male but he took no action towards defending himself. "You have what I want?"
"Do you have what I want?" Inuyasha demanded in reply.
The man threw the small ball on the ground and it sparkled in the moonlight as it came to a stop. The Shikon Jewel. "Your friend's curse has lifted," he murmured.
Inuyasha reached into his haori after picking up the Jewel and tossed them at the other man's feet before backing off into the forest.
Slowly picking up the package, Naraku opened it, drawing out its contents. The tiniest shade of pink coated his cheeks at the sight at the very beautiful and very naked pictures of his two favorite miko. "Hm…" Naraku smirked. "A far better treasure than any jewel."
Another one shot competed. I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted this to be rewritten since my sister didn't add many details, but shrug I did what I could. I wanted to put up a few one shots but I didn't want all of them to be angsty. Usually, I can't write really good stuff without angst but I'm not sure what to think of this. Luckily, I have you guys to help me out. Please review and tell me about it. Note: flamers get to be posted on the wall of flame in my bedroom and laughed at. nn
