My first ever attempt at an X-men fic. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it and I have no idea if I'll continue writing in the fandom but I had to give it a try anyway.

I own nothing by the way so dont sue me!

Oh and the fic, drabble whatever you want to call it was not beta read so blame me for all mistakes and OOC moments.

Convincing

Most the people at Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted believe Bobby and Rogue are the next generation Scott and Jean.

The new 'perfect' couple.

Rogue can't help thinking how right these people are.

They are the new Scott and Jean, complete with their very own Logan.

St John Allerdyce.

Only the situation is a little different.

John is Bobbys best friend – The fire to his ice and he spends a lot of time with the couple.

Scott and Logan can't stand each other apart from maybe a grudging respect for the others abilities.

John, like Logan is unpredictable and untamed.

He's passionate and filled with heat just like his mutation would suggest.

Bobby is always dependable and reliable; he always keeps his cool and is cautious to a tee.

John scares her with his intensity, with the non-chalant way he'll grab her hand, brush her hair out of her eyes or caress her cheek.

Like there is nothing wrong with her.

Like her poison skin is a non issue and he just doesn't care if she drains him dry.

Bobby as much as he claims to love her in all her untouchable glory would never do that.

And that is the reason Rogue stays with him.

She stays with Bobby because he's safe.

She wonders if this is how Jean feels, if her red haired mentor is the only person in the mansion who understands the emotional torment that Rogue is going through.

So when they're alone, working on control of Rogues deadly mutation, she asks.

She notices that Jean is not at all surprised by the question, that jean had been expecting to have this conversation for quite sometime.

So Rogue let's all her thoughts, everything she's feeling pour out.

Now she's found the words to say they don't seem to want to stop.

Jean listens intently; taking every word the multi haired girl speaks in and Rogue notes that what she thought was right.

Jean understands what she's been feeling.

She knows, and she offers her advice.

The teacher tells her that the passion she feels for John will fade with time but what she has with Bobby will last, because Bobby is the good guy, John is the dangerous one and girls only ever flirt with the dangerous guy, they always marry the good one.

Rogue isn't convinced and glancing at the older woman she can tell she doesn't even believe her own words.

Not even Jeans entirely convinced that what she's saying is true.

She wants it to be, just like Rogue herself wants it to be.

But neither woman is convinced and Rogue doesn't ever think they will be.

So there it is.

Have I forever ruined the fandom??

If I continue writing for Xmen can anyone recommend a beta reader (With a fondness for Ryro)?

Okay thats it, I'm done.
