This is the end, and all I could do was force a bitter smile upon my face.

I had failed. I wasn't strong enough to kill Orochimaru.

And because of that, I'm going to die by the hands of the very man I came to kill.

I hear someone yelling behind me. It sounds like Naruto…he's telling me to move.

But I can't. I've locked eyes with Orochimaru and I can see my death.

There's a movement behind Oro, I see spiky ebony hair. And my forced smile becomes real.

Thump Thump

I look at his face, so happy that it's the last one I'll see, and his eyes widen. Out of the corner of my eye I see that Orochimaru has aimed his katana at my chest.

Thump Thump

The last thing I remember before falling into an excruciating darkness is Naruto's yell and the sound of a katana being unsheathed.
