Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or St. Patrick's Day. Duh!

A/N: Happy St. Patrick's Day. I have no clue where this came from; I'm not even Irish. Enjoy.

St. Patrick's Day Surprise

The barman placed the glass expertly on the bar. The beer inside was bright green.

Ron glanced at it frowning and called the barman back. "What the hell kind of beer is green?"

"It's St. Patrick's Day mate," the barman replied. "All our drinks are green today."

"Is it? I guess I forgot."

"You look like you have a lot on your mind if you don't mind me saying," the barman said.

"Yeah, well I had a fight with my wife this morning."

"See it all the time, blokes come in trying to drown their sorrows in a pint when really they should be going home too try and make things right with their wives," the barman said wisely.

"Yeah, your right. It's just that she's so bloody stubborn; I guess I'm no better though. I mean I know I've always been a hothead and I could probably try to control my temper better."

The barman glanced over Ron's shoulder. "Don't tell me that mate, tell her."

Ron turned and saw his wife making her way over to the bar.

"Ron I'm so glad I found you," Hermione said. She was out of breath and her face was flushed.

"Hermione what are you doing here?"

"Looking for you of course, I didn't mean those things that I said. You were right when you said I should have seen a healer. You were only looking out for me and I got upset with you for no reason."

"I just don't like to see you sick love."

"I know and that's very sweet. Will you forgive me Ron?"

"Only if you go to the healer, I really am worried about you being so sick lately."

"Actually I did go, I just left there in fact."

"And what did the healer say love?"

A radiant smile graced his wife's face and Ron wondered how just a few seconds ago he could have been so mad at her.

Hermione took Ron's hand in her own and placed it on top of her stomach.

"We're going to be parents Ron."

Ron didn't think he had heard her right. "Pardon?"

"We are going to have a baby! Isn't that marvelous? A little baby of our own to love and care for, we have so much to do, we have to get a crib and a…"

She was cut off as her husband brought his head down to her's and proceeded to kiss her enthusiastically.

When they broke apart Ron had a huge smile on his face. "We're truly going to have a baby?"

Hermione's smile matched his own. "We are, your going to be a daddy."

"I'm going to be a daddy! Do you hear that? I'm going to be a daddy!!" Ron yelled out his news too the rest of the bar.

There was a loud chorus of "Well done mate" and "I hope the baby doesn't have your hair."

Ron took his wife in his arms and hugged her closely, he felt like he'd just won the World Cup.

Turning to the barman Hermione ordered lemonade.

A clear green drink instantly appeared in front of her and Hermione looked at it curiously.

"It's St. Patrick's Day," the barman said sighing, he went through this routine a lot today.

Ron looked at his own green drink in his hands and smiled. "You know love, I think we just might have to name the baby Patrick."
