Title: Oh Brother!

Author: Queen of the Elven City

Rating: K+

Spoilers: Season 6; Series Finale

Disclaimer: Not mine. I just like to play with them.

Summary: He was in the past for 7 months without letting anything slip. It fits that his brother couldn't go 5 minutes.

Author's Note: That scene in Forever Charmed gets me every time. As soon as Wyatt lets out, "Uncle Coop!" I just laugh. The look on Chris' face is priceless. The slap just drives it home. I just could imagine how vexed Chris would be with Wyatt. So the muse just came, and sat, and ate all the cookies. Begged to be written.

Note: Don't usually do fanfiction. I find it very hard to get into the character's heads. I usually write my own characters. This might seemed forced. Sorry about that.

Lastly, I hate this title. Is you have something better, I won't be offended in the slightest. I know it's lame.

P.S. Not betaed. Read at your own risk.

16 months. 16 months. He was in the past for 16 months. 16 months. He had been able to keep his identity a secret for 7 of those months. More than half a year he had gone, not calling anyone aunt, or mom or dad. 7 months. Even when his secret was exposed, he kept other things hidden. No mention of uncles or cousins, or neighbors, or babysitters.

5 minutes or less. 5 minutes or less. Wyatt had been here for 5 minutes or less. Maybe not even 4 minutes before he had blurted something out. Oh, no. Not just anything. He had been able to get out "Uncle Coop" before he could slap his brother silly.

Stupid brother. Stupid twice-blessed, King Arthur brother. Stupid good, no longer evil, idiotic big brother. Why does no one in his family understand future consequences. Bad things happen if you go back to the past. Even more bad things happen when you tell people who they're going to marry. And from the look on Aunt Phoebe's she is so not happy with this.

Note to self. Find smarter people to hang around.

7 months of hiding the truth is hard. Especially from your parents. But somehow, the lesser, younger brother had been able to pull it off. Hell, Aunt Phoebe had to go on a vision quest to finally get the truth, and then he had to admit to it. Between him, and his shadow, he's glad she figured it out. Aunt Paige and his mother had to be told. He's not sure how his father was told, seeing as that day is foggy, but knowing his aunt's mouths he has a good assumption.

He never slipped. He never told anyone anything that would endanger the future. His family hated him for half a year because he said "future consequences" too many times. So then, how is it that he is related to loose lips next to him?

Some things, Chris just doesn't understand. Like why his family is telling people from the past how many children they're going to have. Or, for that matter that they have died. He's got to remember to talk to Uncle Coop about placing them back in the right spot in time.

So now off to grandpa's house he goes, in tow an oblivious dead grandmother, and a stupid brother. But, hey Grandpa. Grandpa was always one of the smart ones. As long as Patty doesn't completely scare him off.

Okay, seriously, was he the only one who had read the old Bradbury stories? Uncle Coop sure looked bigger than a butterfly.
