Disclaimer: I don't own digimon, any of the characters, the state of
California (which has nothing to do with the story, by the way.) and I'm
not making any money, so don't sue me.
Harmonica
It was a quiet night. The waves crashed upon the shore with a sutle
roar. The sky was a azure blue, with the stars twinkling like eyes,
looking down upon them in a tender caring way. The wind blew her hair
lightly, sweeping it into her eyes as he leaned against the lone palm
tree. Her faithful friend laid curled up like a puppy at her side.
Stroking her fur gently, she turned her attention back to the crashing
waves. Despite the trouble of it all, she couldn't get her mind into
working order. The more peaceful things got, the more tense everyone else
became. She sighed inwardly, leaning against the palm tree again. She
would have to get back soon, before they started to worry. Getting up
slowly, she picked up the sleeping digimon and began to walk back towards
camp. As she walked, she heard the sound of a harmonica, playing in the
wind. It was sad almost, but different than usual. She walked towards the
sound.
Staring though the bushes, she set her friend down, and proceeded to go
towards the sound. Finally, after walking for the longest time, she came
upon a boy. His blond hair drooped over his closed eyes as he played a
soft melody. Still, it was a little sad, a tinge of sorrow in the notes,
like something was bothering him. As the song ended, the boy leaned back
onto the large roots of the tree, sighing as he tucked away the small prize
back into his pocket. The girl decided to make an appearance. "You play
well." she said, walking over to him and sitting next to him. The boy
smiled with apperciation, then his smile faded as his gaze reached the
stars. "The song, it was sad." The girl said, smoothing out her pink
shirt. "I miss them." he murmured quietly, his shoulders sagging a
little. He sighed and let his head droop, his blond hair going over his
blue eyes once more. She brushed his hair out of his eyes and looked into
them. "I miss them too." she said quietly. Suddenly, they couldn't
contain it any longer, and their lips met in a soft kiss. When the kiss
broke, they hugged tightly. "I love you Kari." he said, brushing her soft
brown hair. "I love you too, TK." They stopped hugging and both looked up
at the stars. "I wonder what Matt's gonna say when we get back home." TK
said smiling, his arm wrapped securly around Kari's shoulder. "I wonder
what Daisuke and the others are gonna say." Kari said, returning the smile
as she leaned onto TK's shoulder. "Do we really care?" TK asked. Kari
shook her head. And they stayed there until morning, together, it each
other's arms.
The End
I betcha thought that that was Mimi and Matt, or maybe Kari and Matt
(yuk!) This took place in the second season Digimon episodes. TK and Kari
