Hello, folks. I saw Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer today and I was amazed. So, I've come up with five fanfictions. I do not own these characters. This fic is movie based not comic book based. It's a one-shot. No warnings, rating is PG, spoilers are a yes. This takes place a few weeks after the end of the movie.

Life After Death

It was meant to happen. She'd lied to herself so many times. She'd told herself it was fate over and over again. After all, denial was the first stage of grief. She bent down and placed a newly blossomed sun flower beside his grave. It was their flower.

Her legs suddenly gave and she was on her knees, crying again. She wiped a single tear from her eye, reading the inscription on the grave, for the millionth time.

Reed Richards: beloved husband, friend and hero.

He wasn't just anybody's hero. He was her hero, and now, he was gone. She sighed and silently stumbled to her feet. She heard some soft rustling behind her, and without thinking, disappeared into the scenery.

"Do not be alarmed, Susan," A deep, shy voice whispered. She appeared again and looked undecidedly at the figure before her. Norrin Radd. On his board, of course. She raised an eyebrow, "Why did you come back?"

"I…" he stopped. He starred at her for a long moment, without even breathing. "I missed you."

Susan Storm scoffed, "That's sweet Norrin, but, I'm kinda going through something right now. I'm not up to talking over coffee or anything."

"It's a good thing that I don't drink coffee, then," he said, "Or know what it is…"

Susan laughed- something she hadn't done in forever.

"Reed is gone," Susan said, finding it harder to voice then she'd anticipated.

"And your heart along with him?" Norrin asked, keeping his monotone voice, so it hid any curiosity he had.

"I thought so," she whispered, "But Reed wouldn't want me to live a loveless life, so I suppose I shall try to find my heart in someone else."

"Where are your friends?" Norrin asked.

"Giving me space," Susan said, "Like I asked them too."

"Oh," Norrin said, "Shall I leave you?"

"Why?" Susan asked.

"Space," Norrin answered, looking away from her.

"No, no, that's alright," Susan said, "I like the company." Norrin didn't reply, just flew a little closer to her. "Norrin, what ever happened to your love, back on your planet?"

Norrin turned his face away and despair, "She's gone."

"And your heart along with her?" Susan asked, smiling in her grief.

"Part of me will always belong to her," he said, "But I must move on."

"Will you ever love again?" Susan asked, wiping away a spare tear.

"I believe so," he said, "If my predictions are correct."

And case you didn't get it, there will be some romance between Norrin and Susan, but I'm leaving it to you to anticipate what will happen. That's all folks. Hope you enjoyed. Reviews would be great.
