Gar paced around the apartment he'd started renting, when he came to Gotham a few weeks ago. He decided to stay when he saw Rachel. He'd been so happy that he had finally found her, but now, he couldn't believe she'd hidden this from him.

Then a thought struck him, stopping him dead in his tracks. Did they all know? And if they did, why wouldn't they tell him?

He hadn't felt this angry in a very long while, since the time with that dingus Adonis. He punched the wall he was next to, breaking through the plaster easily.

Since he'd left the titans to go back and train with Steve, and help the Doom Patrol, he'd finally hit his growth spurt, and gained some muscle. He was now 6 foot, and his hair was a little longer than usual being for a while he just didn't care.

A loud knock on his door interrupted his vicious thoughts. He stomped over to the door, and flung it open, on the other side was Richard and Vic.

Seeing them brought forth his anger once more. "Did you know?" He growled lowly, scowling fiercely.

"Know what?" Vic asked confused.

"We just came because, we heard about your fight with Rachel." Richard replied. "We don't know what it was about, just that you stormed off extremely angry."

"Her kid, is my kid." Gar states fiercely, running his hands through his hair roughly, as if he were going to pull it out by the roots. "For five years, she's hid this!" He said loudly. "That's why she left us."

"Look man, I know you're hurting, but you can't take it out on her." Vic said soothingly. "Think about it, she was so scared she left, and she was all on her own...and she told you know, that's gotta mean something."

"Right now that doesn't mean anything to me." Gar seethed. "I don't even want to see her for a while...but I would like to meet him," his voice softened slightly. "Where is he?"

"He's with Kori and the girls right now," Richard replied. "It's after nine, now so he's sleeping."

"How could she think that hiding this would be a good thing?" Gar asked, his voice cracked slightly at the end of his sentence. "I have a son...who I've never met and didn't even know existed...you have no idea, how this feels."

"Nah, and I'm sorry man." Vic clapped him on the back, just as Richard's phone went off.

"Hey Kor...wait slow down, what happened...did you call her?" He waited a second his face held a look of fear on his face. "We'll be there in a little bit." And he hung up.

"What's going on?" Gar asked he knew Rachel was part of this, and even though he was angry with her, he was still worried.

The next words out of Richard's mouth were devastating. "They took Bella and Spencer." He'd barely finished speaking when Gar was out the door.

Rachel teleported into Kori's living room seconds after she hung up the phone. Kori was standing near the entry way, holding a sleeping Gwen in her arms. She has tears streaming down her face.

"Rachel...our b-babies..." She sobbed quietly, trying not to wake the toddler in her arms.

"When did you notice they were gone?" Rachel asked trying to keep her emotions from destroying everything within one hundred yards.

"Just before I c-called you," Kori sniffled, the door opened moments later and Vic and Richard came in. Vic took Gwen from Kori, and she flung herself into Richard's arms. "Our baby..."

Gar walked in after the other two, slower, unsure of himself. Rachel saw him and stiffened up, turning away to avoid looking into his face.

"Kor did you see anything...like a note or something?" Richard asked as he attempted to soothe her.

"I-I only saw th-that they were g-gone." She stammered wiping her face.

"I'll go look." Rachel said disappearing down the hall, trying her best to get away from Gar, her wounds still fresh.

When she got to the bedroom she sent her powers out, searching for anything out of the ordinary. Then she felt it, and walked over to find a sleek black device.

She turned to walk back to the others, and ran into Gar, literally.

"Did you find anything?" He asked stiffly, his face stoic and cold.

"Yes." She stated coldly, moving passed him but he grabbed her arm. "Let go...you're the one who said he didn't want to even look at me." Her words bit at him and he had to fight back a flinch, he let go.

She walked back out to the others. "Here." She handed the device to Richard.

"It's some kind of recording device." He said turning it over in his hand. He looked up at Vic. "Can you analyze it, figure out how to activate it?"

"Yeah." His outward appearance changed, into his normal appearance. He scanned it. "Looks like it's voice activated."

"Who's voice?" Rachel asked, Vic shrugged.

"Well they took Bella and Spencer...so maybe one of us?" Richard motioned between Rachel and himself with Kori in his arms.

Rachel walked back over to the device and touched it, pushing outward with her powers she got a slight vision. "It's meant for me." She said. "And Gar." She refused to look at him. "I'm sorry Kori, Richard your daughter was just collateral damage." This news brought Kori into a fresh round of tears.

"Some one just activate this stupid thing please!" Gar said frustrated, and suddenly an altered voice filled the room.

"Greetings Titans." The voice said. "Yes I know each of your secret identities. I only meant to take the boy...but she would have alerted her parents if I let her stay." They heard some chatter in the background, it sounded like the kids. "If you want them back, Beast Boy, Raven, stay tuned I'll contact you." The recording ended abruptly.

"Who would know about us? About our children?" Kori said alarmed. "I mean since you left," she motioned to Rachel. "We all went into a protection program for retired heroes."

"I don't know, I never told anyone," Rachel emphasized the word anyone. "I was afraid...something like this would happen." Her voice was monotonous, and her face void of any emotion.

Gar stared at her incredulous. "Your son was just kidnapped, do you even care?"

All heads snapped to his, except Rachel's. "Of course I care."

"Then show it...does our son mean anything to you?"

"Gar..." Vic warned.

She turned to face him, a glare set upon her face. "How dare you say that! I would gladly give up my life for his!" She yelled, then took a calming breath.

"You've got a really great way of showing it." Gar stated, a very brief look of hurt passed over her features.

Rachel wished she was wearing something with a hood, so she could hide her face. "I've given Spencer everything I could...if you think I don't care, then...I need to go." And she vanished in a black raven.

"Too far man." Vic said shaking his head.

"I understand you're feeling hurt and afraid..." Richard was cut off as Kori pushed herself away from him.

"I may have only been in that little boys life for the last month, but it was obvious that he loves her and she loves him." Kori said her face and voice furious. "I understand that you're upset because she didn't tell you about him, but that is no excuse to treat her in that manner." He felt slightly guilty. "Maybe so wrapped in your own head, you forgot that she cannot just randomly show her emotions!"

"I'm sorr-" he was cut off by the angry look on Kori's face.

"You had better find her and apologize." Kori said.

"We'll wait here to hear from the captor." Richard assured.

Gar left the house then, looking back once to see Kori collapse back into her husbands arms.

Rachel walked aimlessly through downtown Gotham, worrying about her son, but unable to show it. She'd forgotten that she's teleported to the Grayson house, so it was cold and she had no jacket.

A few stray tears rolled down her cheeks, but she refused to wipe them away. They were the only evidence of what was rolling through her brain.

"Hey girly, wanna have a good time?" A slick voice said from behind her. She ignored the sleazy man, and kept walking. "Hey," a hand grabbed her arm. "I said.." She turned quickly, her eyes red and there were four of them. The man immediately backed away a look of fear on his face.

"Are you afraid of the dark?" She asked in a demonic voice, a twisted smile on her face as black tendrils slipped out of her shirt and encasing the man.

"Wait...please...stop..." He stammered.

"Rae!" A voice snapped her from her thoughts the tendrils of darkness receding back.

"You're a freak!" The man scrambled away as fast as his skinny legs would take him.

Rachel dropped to the ground, putting her face into her hands. When Gar reached her, he noticed her shoulders shaking violently. The guilt crashed into him like a ton of bricks.

"Hey," he said crouching down next to her. "Look I didn't mean anything back there." He touched her shoulder timidly.

"No you're right." She whispered. "I can't care..."

"Rae I know you care." He said pulling her hands away from her face. "I could tell from the way he looked at you." He sighed as he pulled her into his chest. "I was just hurting over what you did, I was being selfish."

"I was selfish for running away." Rachel said, her voice muffled because she was pressed up against his chest. Her shaking let up slightly. "If I hadn't none of this would be happening."

"Look we could go over all the what ifs, but we need to get back...we need to find our son." Gar said pulling her up from the ground. "Come on let's go."

She nodded with the tiniest smile on her face. He kept an arm around her shoulders as they walked.

They were about three blocks from Kori and Richard's place when Rachel felt the phone in her pocket buzz.

She stopped walking to answer it. "Hello?"

"Hello Raven," the altered voice from before said. "It's been a long time since I've talked to you...you've grown even more beautiful."

"Cut the crap, where's my son?" She hissed into the phone.

"Now, now, is that any way to treat an old friend?" The man said.

"You're no friend of mine."

"You wound me." He said. "Hurt me too bad, I might have to..." A scream erupted on the other side.

Her eyes flew open, she knew that scream. "Wait, please don't hurt him." She pleaded.

"That's better," the voice whispered. She could hear whimpering. "I like the sound of you begging."

"Mommy..." She hears faintly, she turned to Gar, her face stricken. "Mommy where are you?" Spencer's voice was now on the phone.

"Oh baby, I'm heading to auntie Kori's house." Rachel said her heart clenching at the fear and pain in his little voice. "Are you..."

"That's enough." The man was back on.

"What do you want?" She asked trying to keep her fury in check.

"So forward," he said snidely. "What I want is you."

"What do you mean?" Her whole body drained of color, and fear tries to nestle into her chest.

"I think you know...if you want your 'baby' back, meet me...alone." Rachel turned to look at Gar, who was watching her worriedly.

"Where?" She asked quietly.

"I'll text you." And the line went dead.

"What did he say?" Gar asked, he was a couple feet away so he didn't hear a whole lot.

"He hurt him." Rachel said the phone in her hand shaking. "Let's get back." She hurried passed him, avoiding his gaze.

Gar couldn't help feeling like she was keeping something from him, but he followed her anyway.
