ONE WAY OR ANOTHER

Summary: At the end of the movie when he is telling her to go to the human world. I rewrite the ending not very much just add some fluff.

"Now, your parents will be looking for you on the other side. You need to go," Haku said.

"What about you? What will happen to you?" Chihiro asked anxiously.

"I'm going to have a word with Yubaba and tell her I'm not going to be her apprentice any longer. You need to go now. And don't look back." He told her.

"But-"

"Go. Please, it would be best."

"But I-"

"GO!"

"I want to stay with you!"

"You can't."

"Why?"

"You belong in the human world. I don't." He said, it getting harder every minute to say it. But she couldn't stay with him, not yet anyway.

"So! I'll stay here with you then." She argued.

"No!"

"Why?" She said, grabbing his shirt, tears coming from her eyes. "Why can't I stay with you?" She said looking at him, "Why! Do you not love me?"

"No, it's not that. We don't belong in each others worlds."

"I don't care! I want to stay with you!"

"Why!" Haku exclaimed.

"Because, I'm afraid." She said softly, putting her head down and let go of his shirt.

Haku lifted her chin up with his hand to face him. Both looking at the other straight in the eyes.

"Of what?" He asked softly.

"Of you forgetting me or I forgetting you or Yubaba not letting you go or-"She stopped because of Haku's lips on hers. At first she was shocked but she loosened up a bit she closed her eyes and hesitantly kissed him back.

"I won't ever forget you, Chihiro. Never. I-…" he said, pausing as though thinking about what he was about to say trying to find the right words. Finally he answered.

"I love you too much to forget you." Chihiro smiled while trying to hold back tears. She hugged him as though that would make sure he was telling the truth.

After they separated she said, "I'm still scared. What if she won't let you go or somehow we can't see each other or I forget you?"

Haku laughed a little bit.

"Chihiro, you worry too much. I will get away from you do forget me then I will also do everything possible to help you remember. I won't let this be the last time we see each other, I promise," he assured her.

"Really?" she said, her tears finally spilling over.

Haku wiped them away with his thumb.

"Yes, really," he said, smiling at her.

She hugged him again.

"I love you, Chihiro." He whispered in her ear.

"I love you too, Haku." She whispered back.

"We will see each other again, I promise." He said.

"Wha-?"

She noticed he kept getting farther away yet he wasn't moving. Also, he was smiling at her.

"Haku!" she yelled after him.

"Chihiro! Where were you?! You're going to be in big trouble, missy!" She heard two people yell behind her.

She turned around to see her mom and dad waiting for her.

"Uh. Coming!" She said to them.

She began walking with them to their car. Which to her surprise had vines, leaves, and dust and anything else you could imagine on it. She turned back to the tunnel.

'I love you.' The wind seemed to say as it blew.

She smiled knowing who it was.

"I love you too…Haku." She said into the wind, again with tears but also a smile. Knowing she would see him again. One way or another.
