Really short bit here. Um, so this is my view on what should have happened after the Gilmore series finale. The only change being that Rory didn't get a job and is spending the summer with her mother. This is a oneshot.

For once, Rory didn't want to read. Do anything, for that matter. Her mother was out with Luke, a sort of "second first date" and Rory had nothing to do. Loralei had offered to spend the night in, with Rory, but she'd insisted that she go and have a good time, with Luke. Rory sighed again, starring around the living room absently, and settling deeper into the couch.

She wasn't the type of girl that would sit and mope over loosing her boyfriend, but for some reason, she wanted to. She wanted to cry over Logan. She missed him; she wished things hadn't worked out so horribly. She suddenly felt how her mother did, having to watch as her mom had this great thing with Luke, and now, she was the alone one.

Life was so much easier when neither dated, or at least, Rory wasn't aware of her mother's boyfriends, besides Chris of course, that was a given.

She wanted her mom. She wanted to talk to her and know everything would be okay. Just as Rory was about to call, the phone rang. For a second, Rory assumed Loralei was calling her, who else would?

"Hello?" Rory answered glumly.

"Hi, Rory?"

"Logan?" Rory asked, perking up slightly.

"I need to talk to you," Logan whispered.

"So talk," Rory muttered.

Logan took a deep breath, and was silent briefly. "I'm sorry."

"Are you?" Rory said, suddenly angry then hopeful.

"Yes, I made a mistake. I love you."

Rory sighed. "I thought long distance things didn't work for you?"

"Look outside."

Rory stood automatically and sped to the window. There, standing in the yard, was Logan, the moon glinting off his blonde hair. Rory walked to the door, and stepped outside.

"I couldn't stay away," he said, bounding up the steps. Before she could say another word he'd swept her up into a long, romantic kiss.

She didn't want to fight it. She just wanted to be happy.

Review please. It'd make me happy.
