The smoke seemed so vague in the air… were as his thoughts.

---

Today was just a day… like any other day

Yet something seemed out of place.

Snow was starting to confirm its presence… a sign of winter, a sign of passing, Tyki mused. It was sort of amusing really; the purity of it intrigued him. Much like this life of his.

Could there ever be a time when it could wash his sin away?

Would there be something to tell him what was so special on this cold, winter day?

'The chill must be getting to me' He sighs

"Oi, Tyki!" A familiar face waved at a distance, smiling sheepishly, he sat down beside him. "Got somewhere to go today?"

"Iie, not really." Tyki replied, looking towards the sky.

His expression never seemed so secluded.

Something so fragile…

Slowly, gently, one by one they come down, and never make a sound.

Silence follows in. Neither said a word.

Only sounds of the rustling leaves could reassure

He shudders a bit, as a faint, cool breeze draped over, breaking the stillness.

"Can I ask you something?" He queried on his usual manner.

"Hmm?"

"What does it feel like-" He paused, unsure. "to really live?"

How does it feel like to love?

To have something to cherish,

To have something so dear to hold on to,

To feel the reason to smile,

With the reassurance knowing that…

It'll last for eternity.

Mirth could be seen dancing on his companion's eyes. It would be a right question if he was serious or not.

Tyki, for some reason, doesn't feel taken back at the response.

"What do you mean really live? Haha…, this is our life Tyki. Now and ever, it is by no means going to change." He chuckled. "What is wrong with you today anyway? Just a little bit of snow and you're down on the dumps."

Mockingly, he adds, "Do you need a hug?"

Apparently, now he does.

"Forget I asked anything." Tyki sighed. Different worlds they were in.

But he doesn't want to admit that.

"You know, you could always tell us what's bothering ya." He frowns. "We've been together for ages Tyki, you could at least-"

"I'm going for a walk."

He stands up, brushing the snow off his clothes, signaling a wave of goodbye.

"Aa, sure." His friend smiles, trying to understand.

It was one of those days again. Or so he thinks.

"Come home soon? We're playing poker!"

"Hn."

---

It was so fragile,

So soft,

So innocent,

So pure…

Whiter than the snow itself…

What was it?

There was something he yearned for…, but what?

He felt selfish.

He had everything he needed.

Two sides.

White and black.

They seemed to go really well together.

Right?

Complimenting each other…

---

The park was a long way off. The sky seemed so blue at some point. Tyki couldn't help but smile as he saw children playing along the crowd.

How unlikely.

---

Softly, gently, one by one they come down and never make a sound.

Petals of snow…

Never were his beliefs so far away…

He just had to ask, 'Am I still alive?'

The smoke seemed so vague in the air… were as his thoughts.
