Such as…
A counterpart of someone.
A 'ghost' that haunts it's counterpart.
Or someone who looks just like you
And this is where my dilemma kicks in.
He looks just like you. He feels like you, sounds like you, looks like you.
But he isn't you.
He sounds, hears, feels, touches, sees, talks, knows, walks, runs, fights, holds, kisses, smells, thinks, is just like you.
But he isn't you.
He never smiles, speaks, cries, angers, pouts, frowns, winces, comforts, is just like you.
He never is, was, will be just like you.
Because he simply isn't you.
No matter how much Selphie gapes, Riku thinks, Donald shouts, or Goofy asks. Because simply, you aren't him either.
He is my knight, you where my prince. Big difference.
His face is yours, his voice is yours, his expressions are yours.
But he never was, never will, never is you.
So when he holds me hand and reassures me I don't think of you, I think of him, no matter how many times Selphie says the similarities, Riku tells me that he hits just like you, how many times Donald says that he touches the same nerve as you did, and no matter how many times Goofy says that he holds his weapon with the same stance.
No matter what, it has become my mantra, and as he brings the key down all I can say is.
You're not him.
