Heyy Minna-san! Right off the bat, I sorry to all you who are waiting on PH, but I am just not in the mood to write that right now. Please don't be mad at me!

Well, now that that's over with and I feel a little better (not really), I hope that you enjoy this.

"If you are afraid of loneliness, don't marry."

Shuichi could easily relate to how true that was. He lay cold and alone on the bed that he used to believe symbolized warmth, love, and acceptance. That beautiful picture had had quickly been ripped up, torn to shreds, and peeled off of the bottoms of Yuki's shoes with disgust.

Six months ago, Yuki had proposed to him, a small smile actually playing at the edges of his mouth, nervousness clear in his eyes and posture. Shuichi had believed that he had meant it when he said that he would be Shuichi's forever; he would always be there for him; he would try to be better; he wanted Shuichi by his side forever, his guardian angel… He loved him.

A dry, humorless laugh forced it way out of Shuichi's lips. It was an ugly sound compared to the breathtakingly beautiful magnificence that normally flowed from that ocean of emotions. Oh, how naïve he had been to believe that Yuki had meant all of those empty words. How could he have fell for such empty promises? How could he have hoped to finally be loved in return? Yuki must have been laughing inside at Shuichi's joy, seeing him for the romantic fool that he was.

Before Yuki proposed to him, Shuichi had sincerely believed that they were getting better. He had spent fewer nights outside the door in the freezing cold. He had been getting a ride to work. Yuki had been gentle with him. There had been a soft emotion in his eyes.

Now, although Shuichi was never kicked out anymore, Yuki left instead. He left before Shuichi returned from NG Studios, and returned in the early hours of the morning, reeking of women, booze, and sex. And every night, Shuichi pretended that he didn't notice, and welcomed Yuki with open arms, only to be shunned time and time again.

Now, Shuichi decided that he would free Yuki of himself. No more would he have to suffer from having to deal with a brat would just didn't get the hint. No more would anyone have to suffer from the insufferable cretin who couldn't focus on his work; the annoying fool who would never shut up about his problems; the neglectful imbecile who could not spare time for his family once he got himself a lover.

He would not allow those closest to him have to suffer having to deal with a twit any longer. He would not cause them to have to go through any more annoyance on his behalf. He was going to end it.

He stared down the muzzle of the small 9mm pistol that he had managed to steal from K's supplies in the hustle and bustle before a concert. This was it. His life was over. He had no reason to live, if he could give his lover no reason to stay. He was useless if his lover had to revert to sleeping with others in order to fully satisfy himself. He was better off dead anyways.

He aimed the muzzle right between his eyes and tightened his finger on the trigger. It was now or never. Forcing his eyes to remain open, he squeezed the trigger.

And then he swore as nothing happened, save for making a small click, and almost ridding him of any nerve. He really was an idiot.

He clicked the safety off, made sure that it was loaded, and aimed for right between his eyes once again. Once again, his finger tightened on the trigger. Then, as he prepared to squeeze the trigger, the bedroom door opened, and Yuki stood in the doorway, eyes widening as he saw what Shuichi was doing.

Well, I hope that you liked it. Please let me know what you think of this!
