Notes: I've had this idea bouncing around my head for absolutely ages! All the words spoken are taken from the song 'Quiet Time'. In certain circumstances I have modified the lyrics of the song in order to create relevance to the story.

Ken Ichijouji watched from the doorframe leading to the bedroom, staring into the open-plan living room. In the corner, he watched as his boyfriend continued to turn the pages of the textbook in front of him, as the blonde teenager made the revision notes he needed. Ken's heart went out to Takeru as he saw the lithe boy stretch his arms wearily.

"Well you're tired,
You're feeling pretty low…"

T.K. looked up at his partner, flashing him a sleepy smile, before turning back to his books. Ken folded his arms in worry. He continued to sing softly, wondering whether it was having any effect on the blonde.

"Put down the books,
You don't have far to go.
It's time for Quiet Time…
Time for some Quiet Time…"

Without realising it, the purple-haired youth had crossed the room, and was now standing behind his lover. He bit his lip as Takeru turned to face him, a pissed-off look on his face. Ken raised an eyebrow as his boyfriend burst into song.

"Time is exactly what I haven't got, Ken!
I'm busy, busy, busy!
Can't stop to chat!
I've got so much to do,
There's this and that!"

Takeru gestured emphatically towards to large piles of books, and Ken let out a small groan of despair as he witnessed his lover's determination.

"Just take some Quiet Time…
Time for some Quiet Time…"

T.K. started to interrupt his lover with a whine, but started to yawn loudly as the song began to take its toll on him.

"I can see you're out of breath,
You barely drag yourself along."

Ken gently picked up his partner, enveloping him in his arms as he carried him towards the leather sofa. He continued to sing, softer now than ever before.

"If you just take some Quiet Time,
I know you'll soon be feeling strong…"

Takeru snuggled up to his lover on the couch, enjoying the increasingly-rare moment of intimacy. He understood now that the purple-haired teen had only his boyfriend's interests at heart, a thought that filled him with lethargic warmth.

"Now that you mention it, Ken,
I think that I'll
Just rest my head here,
For a little while,
And take some Quiet Time…"

"Quiet Time?" Ken's voice now sounded hopeful, a clear contrast to the earlier anguish that permeated his tones.

"Time for some Quiet Time…"

Ken gently ran his fingers through the soft blonde hair of his boyfriend's head, while T.K. sung the last line of the lullaby song.

"Time for some—" The rest of the words were lost to the mellifluous snores he emitted, to which Ken was silently thankful for.

"Quiet Time…"

He switched off the table-lamp, plunging the room into darkness, before nuzzling next to his sleeping soul mate and joining him in slumber.
