Disclaimer: My creativity is honestly dead right now, so I am afraid that this will have to be as simple as - I don't own Harry Potter, JK Rowling does. :)

AN: This idea came to me, and I was so frightened that I just had to write it! My first bit of AU. Poor, poor Harry! One itsy bitsy change in this from the book (besides the entire ending). As you can see, it says, "the Twins" down there, not "George." That's my little bit of rebellion. :) So here, my first story not involving the Twins.

Harry Potter was happy. He was really, actually, truly, happy. It was three days since the Battle at Hogwarts and he and the Weasleys had just returned home. While there had been an overwhelming amount of tragedy caused during the fight, Harry couldn't help but realize with excitement the new life that awaited him.

A life with Ginny. A life with his friends. A life without Voldemort.

Harry sat on the steps out back of the Burrow and closed his eyes, enjoying the silence and the sunshine. Yes, sunshine. Harry felt as though he hadn't felt the warmth of the sun in years, and now he was free to think about nothing but letting it take over his entire existence.

Hermione and Ron were in love and had finally admitted it. He and Ginny were in love and could finally show it. Everyone, even the Twins, had forgiven Percy for the trouble that he had caused the past few years. And the Wizarding World was free at last. Free to move on.

Harry was filled with even more unsurpassed joy as he remembered once more that he would never, ever, ever have to think about the Dark Lord again.

He smiled and tilted his head back, welcoming the light breeze that pulled at his unruly hair. Everything. Was. Perfect.

Even as Harry thought those three, wonderful words, an icy chill settled in the air behind him. He tensed his shoulders and arched his back as he felt a shiver run down his spine, seeping it's way inside of him.

Reluctantly and with his heart pounding, Harry twisted his neck to look behind him.

He stifled a scream as he found himself face-to-face with a certain someone that he never thought he would have to see again. Somehow, even as a ghost, Lord Voldemort's eyes still shone red.

"Hello Harry."
