Jason sat there reading Sam's note several times trying grasp what he saw in the video and what he kept reading. His frustration started building as nothing camet him. Deciding his original plan to call Spinelli was his best option he pulled out his phone and dialed the number.

"My deepest condolence Stone Cold, for the loss of our dearest Fair Samantha" Spinelli spoke mournfully.

"I need you to get home now Spinelli." Jason said coldly and hung up. He threw his phone on the couch and ran his hand through his hair as he tried in vain at piecing together Sams note and the very cryptic video. Why the hell was Sam speaking like that? Was she being forced to make that video? Was someone trying to torment him? As he thought about it, it occured to him that whoever left the videowould have the answers he needed. He grabbed his phone again to call Spinelli to tell him to hack into the security footage of the building to see if anyone suspicious or recognizable had came there tonight. Before he could make the call he heard a knock at the door, sighing in frustration he went to answer it. Whoever it was he didn't have time for it.

"Thank God Jason, I've been calling you for haven't you answered? Where have you been? I've been so worried." Elizabeth spoke as she walked inside before Jason could stop her.

"It's not a good time right now Liz." Jason stood with the door still open trying to hide his frustration. She didn't seem to care sitting anyway.

"Look Jason, I know that Sams death is shocking and sad, but you shouldn't be dealing with this alone." She turned and spoke to him. Jason realized she wasn't going to leave so he shut the door and walked to the fireplace. He stared into the emptiness thinking about the times they had spent in front of it, and her picture that once rested there. Regretting the night he tossed it in the fire.

"You keep it, I don't need any Reminders of what could have been." Sam said to Jason as he tried to give her the necklace. Hiding the hurt he felt as she said it he slowly dropped his arm back down. When Sam left he was feeling anger and pain, not just from her departure, but also what she had said about Lucky. He knew that this lie was wrong, he had seen what it had done to Sam and knew what it would do to Lucky, but he couldn't help the anger he felt when she spoke about him. He knew she was trying to hurt him by using Lucky, but didn't she think watching his son get kidnapped was enough? He walked to the cabinet needing a drink and noticed the picture of them. He picked it up remembering the day it was taken and he felt his chest squeeze. Not wanting to deal with the pain and dissapointment he walked to the fireplace and threw it in, gathering the ones that sat on the mantle he followed suit and threw them in as well. Looking at them one last time before lighting the fire. He watched as the pictures in the flame crinkled and burned, watching her smiling face melt away he felt apart of him go with it.

"Jason, Jason did you hear me? Liz asked snapping him back to reality. He looked at her trying to process his emotions before turning and speaking to her.

"I, thank you, but I really would rather be alone right now." He said softly, part of it was true, if it hadn't been for that video and note he would be deep in a bottle and agony by himself. He could tell that she seemed hurt by his words, but didn't understand why. She hated Sam and Sam hated her to, if she was there right now she would laugh at the irony of Elizabeth trying to comfort Jason over her death. He laughed inside a little as he thought about it, but it was short lived as he was reminded that she wasn't there, and she never would be again. He didn't notice Elizabeth get up or move closer to him. He felt her hand on his arm and looked down at it before gently removing it and walking away.

"Jason, I know Sam wasn't my favorite person, but you loved her once and I know this has to be a little hard for you, let me help you, don't push me away." He wanted to say something but couldn't find the words. Loved her once? He still loved her, he still loved her when she ended it at Pentonville, he still loved her when she moved out that day, he still loved her when she testified on his behalf. He didn't realize how much because he was still angry with her for what she did, but no he never stopped loving her, and it was more than a little hard for him. A little hard was seeing her with lucky, feeling rage and pain that he could never express, but no, this wasn't a little hard. Noticing Jasons silence Liz stepped closer to his turned back. "The boys are with Lucky right now so I can stay as long as you want." At her words he turned feeling slightly upset. Shouldn't she be comforting Lucky? After all his relationship with Sam was more recent than his. They were together for a while, and as much as it pained him to admitt, they seemed happy. Shouldn't he need support right now too? "I offered to stay with him, but he said he was fine. I think he is still so angry at her for what she did to the boys, that even though he's hurt that she's dead he can't forgive her." She said so carelessly. Jason was taken aback by her announcement. So that's why he was there that night with Liz. For some reason his anger started boiling. How could he run back to Elizabeth so fast? How could he toss her aside so easily? How could he still be mad at her even in her death. Jason felt like a hypocrite at the first two thoughts. Didn't he do the same thing to her when he found out? Worse actually, he had threatened to kill her. He had disregarded her feelings and his part that he played in it as well. "I can't blame him though, I don't like to speak ill of the dead, but honestly, I don't forgive her either, what she did was horrible. I never wanted her to die, but I won't lie, I did want her out of our lives. I could never trust her around my kids again. That's why I had to tell Lucky, as long as he was with her she was going to be around my boys and I couldn't let that happen. I guess now I won't have to worry about that because she's..."

"ENOUGH ELizabeth." Jason didn't even realized he had yelled, but something in him snapped. Yes, Elizabeth in her own mind had a right to mad at Sam, but to intentionally ruin Sam's chance at happiness again, especially since she did have a part in ruinning her happiness with him. If it hadn't have been for their lie, Sam might not have gone off the deep end. However, that's not what had pissed him off. It was the way she was causually tossing around the words 'Her death' and 'dead' and speaking without an once of compassion. Didn't she come here to comfort him? Not that he needed it, but he damn sure didn't need this.

"Jason I'm sorry." Elizabeth stammered. "I'm not trying to make this about what she did, I guess I just got carried away." She reached out touch him, but he quickly stepped away.

"I think you should leave now, please." He said it so low but with so much anger in his voice she was a little scared. It wasn't enough to make her leave though. Instead she took a small step towards him.

"Jason I..." Elizabeth stopped noticing the T.V for the first time since her arrival. It was paused on Sam it looked like it was recent but she didn't know when. Without thinking or consideration she pressed play and Sam appeared on the screen again.

"I almost forgot to leave you with a little parting gift, how silly of me." Sam said into the camera. Jason walked around the couch ready to turn it off but stopped as he realized that it was the same as the cryptic video he watched before Elizabeth showed up. "I wouldn't want you to think that I didn't care, you know like the way you did Sam. It's funny though, even though you stopped giving a shit about her, she was still very much in love with you, she uses thoughs of you to fight me. Well she used to before you know, oh wait you don't, that's where my gift comes in. Happy viewing." Sam said before she dissapeared and the T.V went fuzzy for a minute. Elizabeth looked at Jason and could see pain in his eyes as well as longing. Elizabeth started to grow upset, she lifted the remote to hit stop when what looked like security footage started playing on the screen. They both watched as Sam dressed in bikini that showed all of her curves and soft lighlty freckled skin, sat by a pool Jason didn't recognize, but down where the date stamp was had the word "Z pool" his curosity piqued. He sat down on the living room table and continued to watch her swing her feet splashing the water. Jason looked up when he heard the front door open and saw Spinelli and for some reason Sonny walk in together. Elizabeth went to hit pause again, but this time Jason grabbed the remote from her and focused his attention back to the T.V. He was mesmerized by how beautiful she looked and how peaceful she was just being near the water, he could watch this forever he thought and for a minute. Just then Sonny walked over and spoke. "What the hell is Sam doing at Johnny's house?" Every inch of Jason felt like it went cold and within a moment sure enough Johnny walked out. He heared him say something to Sam and watch as she smiled. As he sat there half listening to them talk, he could feel his body start to tense he wasn't sure when he stood up but at this moment he did not care. With every smile and laugh, he grew more angry, As they played in the water he could feel different eyes on him gauging his reaction, when Johnny told her she was beautiful he swore he could hear Spinelli yelp a little. Then it happened, he watched with pure blinding rage as Johnny kissed Sam and she returned his kiss. Everything in Jason seemed to go numb for just a moment. Then they stopped, relief washed over him for a second and it seemed like everyone look a breath. Johnny exited the pool and Jason thought for just a moment that it was over, the thought was fleeting however, and he watched as Sam took his hand and followed suit. The video cut off and the fuzzy gray screen was back on. No one spoke, they all just watched as Jason turned red with anger. "Maybe that is where it ended, surely the fair Samantha and the Dark Prince did not..." Spinelli was cut short as Sam apeared on screen again. "OOps, seems like we only got the boring footage, oh wait, duh here's where the good stuff is." Just as quick as she appeared she was gone and the gray changed again. It only took Jason 1 minute to figure out Spinelli was wrong, and another minute before his pent up anger was released. "I'm going to kill that son of a bitch."
