The Death Of A Loved One.

This story is a series of one-shot about all the characters in Robin Hood.

Chapter 1 – Marian.

As Robin clutched the old woman's hand his tears became more and more frantic. The pale, frail and coughing woman in front of him couldn't die. She may have lived a long and happy life but he needed her.

"Robin, look after the children," Marian croaked.

Robin looked down at the two twin toddlers that were standing by him on the floor, he picked each of them up in turn, placing one each side of their mother.

"Much, Safiyya, you need to be good for your father when I'm gone," Marian paused as a coughing fit engulfed her, "I love you two…"

Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment before she murmured, "I'm so tired."

"Marian don't leave me," Robin sobbed, "I love you."

"And I love you, I'll see you in heaven," Marian whispered.

Marian's eyes slowly closed again, but this time they didn't open.

"Marian!" Robin shouted, "Marian."

The whole family collapsed into tears around their wife and mothers bed, holding her hands and squeezing them hard, as though they thought that the pain in her hand would bring her back to life.

Marian's skin turned deathly white as the blood returned to her unmoving heart and her lungs finally relaxed after their forty-two long years of keeping the woman alive.

Robin half smiled as he thought of all the times they had spent together, both in secret when he had lived in the woods and ever since they had been married. Marian may have just died, but he new that her spirit would live on in his heart forever.
