Okay, it's short, but sweet (literally). I know it's been a while, but I was hoping to have more votes, so if you want another one soon, please go vote on the other thread, there are only a few left and you can rank your top three!

This is set after the Mortal Cure and is rated PG.

I don't own Moonlight or any of its characters. I just like playing with them.

Enjoy!!

Dessert

"I brought dessert," Beth called through the door. "Come on, Mick. Open up."

"No, Beth," a very surly vampire answered. "I can't see you today."

"I know you reverted, Mick. Josef called me," Beth called leaning against the door.

Damnit Josef. Why…why do you have to be so nosy? "Then you know why I can't open the door, Beth."

"Are you going to rip me limb from limb?" Beth asked.

Mick was taken aback by her question. "No. What? No," Mick stammered.

"Then open the door," Mick didn't respond. Beth decided to move to plan 'B.' She typed in Mick's override code. She opened the door to find Mick starring at her from the coach.

"How…?" Mick asked, looking at her.

"Josef wanted me to see you. He seemed anxious not to leave you alone," Beth said giving Mick a punitive look. "I'm on suicide watch," she said, entering the apartment. She was caring a large brown grocery bag.

Mick refused to acknowledge Beth's comment. "What's in the bag?"

"Josef sent some fresh blood and a treat," Beth said, closing the door and heading for the kitchen. "I believe his girls all gave donations for you." She started unpacking the bag and putting the blood in Mick's hidden fridge.

Mick watched in awe. Why is she doing this? "Beth…" Mick started.

Beth finished putting away the bottles and she grabbed a glass from the cupboards and poured a glass of blood for Mick. She walked to the living room and handed Mick the glass. Mick took it, still watching her intently. She curled up on the couch next to him.

"So, want to talk about it?" Beth asked.

"No," Mick said, finally looking away from her.

"Okay," Beth said.

They sat quietly for a while. Beth finally broke the silence saying, "You need to drink, Mick." Mick looked at the abandoned glass, then back to her. She rolled her eyes and said, "I've seen you drink before, Mick." She pointed at her wrist. "You need blood. You can't starve yourself, you'll just regret it later."

"Really? Do you know why or was that something Josef told you to say?" Mick asked. Beth blushed. "I didn't think so. Don't pretend you understand me," Mick said, taking the glass to the kitchen. Beth followed him.

"So, I don't know what it means, but I don't want anything to happen to you." Mick stopped and looked at the bag, still setting on the counter. "What's that?"

Beth followed his gaze to the bag. "Josef sent it too," Beth said.

Mick looked back at Beth, anger in his eyes. "That's your blood, Beth."

Beth blushed again, "Yes, I donated too."

"But-"

"Don't protest. It's already done, so just enjoy," Beth said reaching for a bowl.

"What are you doing?" Mick asked as she pulled a tub from the bag.

"Well, since you refused dinner, I thought I might tempt you with dessert," Beth said as she began to scoop a solid red substance into the bowl.

"Is that…?" Mick asked, staring at the red stuff.

"Yep, it's blood. My blood to be precise. Josef had it flash frozen and I think he added some glucose to make it sweeter." Beth handed Mick the bowl.

Mick's eyes grew wide as the looked at the bowl. Beth handed him the spoon and he grabbed it absently.

She watched as he slowly scooped a spoonful and put it in his mouth. Mick's eyes fluttered closed as the flavors washed over his mouth. His eyes flashed open, a pale vampiric blue. He smiled, his fangs gleaming.

"Good?" Beth asked.

"Amazing. Almost like ice cream." Mick smiled.

Beth smiled. "Well, of course silly. It's vampire ice cream."
