My Wish

Sakura sat back in her room, the only light illuminating her face was that of a single candle.

Today was her birthday.

It'd been a year or so since Naruto had left for his training with Jiraiya and even longer since Sasuke's departure.

"A single birthday wish. But what should it be?" She mused.

"For Sasuke to love me? For him to come home? That I could have stopped him?" She let out a heavy sigh.

"I wish..." Thunder crashed loudly in the sky above her.

"I wish that Sasuke could find peace, so he can truly begin to live." She blew out the single candle encasing herself in darkness.
