This is the final chapter! I can't believe it took me so long to finish writing this story! I will make edits to this at will, but be forewarned - I have sequels planned for this! As always, please give me your comments and critiques.

Disclaimer: Why couldn't I work for Star Wars?

"What? Why can't we prosecute her?" Luminara demanded. Her position was a tall, steady stance, a stark contrast to her furious, frustrated tone. Despite the comfy couch Ani was sitting on, she barely noticed the comfort. A knot of dread grew in the pit of her stomach. Come on.

"Lady Kiln has her rights as the sole head of one of oldest houses on the planet," Bail Organa declared back. "Just because you happened to find evidence that her disappearances have been more frequent and of potentially unlawful equipment in an old civil war bunker does not mean you can legally submit a request to have her investigated."

"But all of it is true. She was there in the bunker authorizing the use of the outlawed equipment! She was present and actively part of not just my padawan's capture, but also her attempted mind wipe! I have documents –"

"That were probably obtained illegally," the Senator interjected. Ani winced at that. She had three guesses, two didn't count as to who found those documents. She owed him a big thank you when they got back to the estate.

"– and camera footage and coordinates for you to investigate –"

"There will be no case," Bail Organa emphasized. "I trust you know of those refugee groups she's actively supported? They just gave a solid alibi for her being absent from the house meetings this entire past week. Considering they're protected lobby groups, and the scant evidence – discounting with what you just presented me, Master Jedi – there won't even be an investigation." Ani felt her heart disappear with those words. She had been sedated and almost mind-wiped, and Marana Kiln's activities wouldn't even be looked into. This night just kept getting better and better.

"This isn't right. Surely there's something we can do," Luminara pressed. Bail Organa shook his head.

"There is nothing you can do, Master Luminara. Considering her rank as the leader of one of the noblest houses of Alderaan, you'd have to have an airtight case to present to the police prior to an investigation. All of it gets thrown out because you weren't even officially here, Master Jedi." Which was correct. They had been requested secretly by the lady herself. They hadn't given notice to the government that they were on this planet due to the nature of the information. To reveal their purpose in coming here, to reveal their current presence on the planet was to potentially jeopardize the reliable information they had been given. So far the intel was reliable, as Jedi Master Shaak Ti had reported back. This could continue to help their efforts in the war against the Separatists. Ani felt Luminara's sorrow through their bond, and sent back her own frustration, tinged with understanding. Their hands were tied here. Kiln wouldn't be prosecuted. Luminara looked back, and Ani and she exchanged glances.

"True," Luminara said, exhaling. She turned back around to face the Senator. "Thank you for promptly informing us." He nodded back, clearly looking unhappy with this result as well. There sat a moment of silence between the three individuals. Gree had been silent since the door shut. He viewed his job as to keep an eye on the door and an ear sharp for anything that sounded off outside the room.

"So what now?" Ani asked, leaning forward to look up at the Senator. He sighed but did not shy from her gaze.

"I will have my in house lab technicians run diagnostic scans on your blood." As soon as they had arrived on the property, Ani had been whisked away to have her blood drawn. Master Luminara had accompanied her throughout the process. "Once we get results back, we will send them to you. It's likely going to be the temporary drugs that were used on you –" thank the Force Gree had thought to collect samples "– but we can at least isolate any other new or foreign compounds in your bloodstream." He then tapped his datapad on the desk.

"As for the information you gave me, Master Luminara, I will file it away for safekeeping. Considering it concerns my wife, the Queen, and her safety, this will be useful to have on hand in case she does attempt to come after us. Also, knowing that your padawan will always be with you means that her look-alike can be escorted away for a private little chat if she's ever seen again."

"She might not be. Kiln might keep her on a short leash intentionally, at least for the time being," Ani observed. "Only when she feels it's safe out will she allow the girl out and about again."

"That could very well be," Organa acknowledged. "With this information, however, I know of her plans. I can deftly plan contingencies in the event that she does attempt to try again. As for the bounty hunter, she'll be much harder to track down. Add to that she knows how to disappear, and I won't be spending much time on her. The big thing is to have my resources keep their eyes and ears open regarding this potential revolt against the Queen." Both Jedi nodded solemnly. At least there was that small hint of hope.

"Of course," Organa continued, "it all comes back to this question: would you, Padawan Laminara, willingly renounce the Jedi Order to come back and lead your house?" Ani swallowed hard, feeling all the gazes on her at this moment inside this tiny room.

"I… I don't want to," she said finally. To his credit, Bail Organa looked sympathetic.

"I understand. With all you've been through, you're probably eager to get back to the war and wait for her official summons to reach the Senate. However, understand that if you did officially come back to claim your position as head of the Kiln House, you would have mine and the Queen's support. At the very least, it would make my job easier," he added with a smile. She offered a half-hearted smile in return.

"I know," she responded. "But, I am a Jedi. I could never abandon my master, my friends, or my Order. This experience has shown me that I am a Jedi through and through. I wouldn't have responded nearly so well if not for my Jedi training. My place is with the Jedi." Silence fell once again as she contemplated his crestfallen face.

"I understand, Padawan Laminara. However, know that if circumstances ever change, you would have support, and a friend." He held out his hand towards her, firm and unwavering. Knowing that was a comfort, even if she knew she'd never have need of it. She rose, shakily, and reached out her hand to grasp his.

"If that ever came to that, Senator Organa, I would find that much appreciated." Internally she was surprised she could be that eloquent with her statement. She also sensed her master's approval, and with that came internal contentment. Maybe things would turn out all right after all.

Commander Gree had been adamant that they spend no more time at the estate than necessary, and neither Jedi found it in either of themselves to disagree. They were surprised that, upon arrival, Captain Skee was rushing out all excited for them to go back inside the building. Seeing the look on her padawan's face almost caused Luminara to rethink her decision on this. Instead, she placed a hand on her padawan's shoulder and quietly whispered in her ear.

"I'm not going anywhere, Padawan." The girl started a little, but smiled up at her. "I think it's worth checking out what Skee found." The smile dropped a little, but to Ani's credit she nodded her consent to the idea. Together, they entered the building and went up to the floor of their previously assigned rooms. It was due to all of the excitement they had just experienced, but it felt like half a lifetime passed since they were previously up here. Skee led them through the door of Ani's present/old room, and the tension set even more firmly upon her padawan's shoulders. He reopened the closet and revealed what he had found. The look of fear was replaced with a look of happiness on her padawan's face, and she gladly knelt down to examine the contents more thoroughly. Luminara knelt down beside her as the two clones stepped outside to give them their privacy, and to secure the incoming shuttlecraft's landing area.

"All of this must have been packed away when I left," Ani said. Her attention quickly riveted on the chest.

"Ah," Luminara said. "This must be the chest that Captain Skee could not open." Ani gave a quick laugh as she focused her gaze. Two pieces of the picture puzzle slid back, and stayed, then another two pieces slid over, and stayed, and she repeated the process until the picture was completed. The locking mechanism glowed a bright blue, and she sensed as well as heard it click open.

"Skee will be disappointed," Ani said, laughing again. "If only he could have seen this!"

"I think if he would have, he'd have been more frustrated," Luminara said, chuckling as well. "He would have been exasperated to know that, as a non-Force user, his efforts were ultimately futile." The thing with Force locks was that they couldn't be opened or cracked by anyone other than a Force user. Some locks could even be customized for a particular Force user, although Luminara didn't sense that peculiarity here. She remained sitting on her haunches, content to watch her padawan gently creak the lid back on the chest. "Wow! This... this must be all my mother's old stuff."

"Indeed." Luminara's breath hitched as she saw a familiar looking hilt come out of the chest. "Her… her first lightsaber… I didn't know she still had it." Ani looked confused.

"Didn't she have it on her when she…" the padawan paused, "died?"

"She had her other lightsaber on her. This one," Luminara gestured, "was lost shortly after she was knighted. I had no idea she found it again." She didn't voice her other thought. Things were already dark enough. Ani, though, nodded, and seeming with a thought turned slightly, holding the hilt out to her as was appropriate.

"No," Luminara shook her head. "I couldn't."

"But you knew her!" Ani protested. "You two were good friends, I thought."

"We were, up until the very point she disappeared." She hoped Ani would never experience the heartache that came with seeing your best friend dead on the ground, along with the haunting thoughts that never left afterwards. "But… she… I… it's your mother's."

"But this way you have something else to remember her by," Ani continued her protest. "Otherwise, all you have are pictures and memories. Don't you want something physical to have to remind you of her?" Don't you want to remember me? came a childish voice from the past. No, she did (still did), but she never felt that she needed possessions to do so. Here, though, Ani was trying to be thoughtful, and she appreciated the gesture. She took the hilt from her fingers and thumbed it on. A brilliant green light illuminated the small space.

"Huh," she heard her padawan say. "So was your first one green too?"

"It still is," she responded, patting her right hip. "Your mother found it amusing that the rest of our youngling group had blue crystals instead of green. She said it was a sign that we were meant to stick together." And in a sense, looking at her padawan, Luminara found that to be true.

"Mine's blue-green, though," Ani stated, frowning.

"Well, this padawan is quite different from the master," Luminara said, leaning over to ruffle the girl's hair lightly. "I would expect no less." Ani flushed, pleasure filtering in through her end of their bond. "I was different from my master, too."

"What color was his lightsaber?" Her padawan asked, the smile on her face indicating she knew the answer.

"Oh, it definitely wasn't a normal color. Some would even comment that it was a little girly." They laughed together. Luminara then noticed something rather bulky-looking inside the chest. "What else is in there?" Ani leaned forward to lift it out of the chest. Except, it changed into them, and there were several pieces. She stared at it and then brought it over towards her master.

"I didn't know…"

"Neither did I. It still looks to be in good shape."

"Do you… think I should try it on?"

"Might as well. At least it looks adjustable."

Luminara nodded her approval at the way it fit on her padawan. "It's a good idea, especially considering we'll be back to doing a lot of fighting," she told her apprentice, who beamed. That was when Commander Gree walked in.

"Sorry, General, but the shuttlecraft just landed, and… well, there's been an incident at the Jedi Temple. General Windu wanted to speak to you immediately, and so his call is currently holding. The shuttlecraft's communications array is the best to brief you on the way up to the ship." Luminara glanced at her, who likewise looked concerned.

"I'll grab a case," Ani began, "if you want to take that message right away, Master."

"As long as Gree stands guard outside the room," she said firmly.

"Okay," the padawan said, sounding perfectly conceding. Luminara knew she was okay with it only because of her newfound, completely reasonable paranoia.

"Thanks, Padawan," she smiled at the young one. "This won't take long, so please don't take longer than necessary to pack everything up." Translation: please don't get yourself kidnapped again.

"I won't, Master," Ani smiled back at her. Translation: I'll be fine, but I appreciate you being concerned.

"Thank you." Luminara turned around and left the room. She made sure to keep her end of the bond open at all times, just in case. Force forbid something else should happen now.

Ani knew she had told Gree to stand guard outside the door, as she had to gather up what little she had and prepared to leave. However, as she was slipping off the armor, she heard the door slide open. Turning around to rebuke the clone commander, she was startled at the sight of a familiar figure tapping the keys of the door's interior lock box. She froze as the other female turned towards her.

"Well, hello again!" the bounty hunter said cheerfully. Red colored her vision as she called on the Force to push the bounty hunter against the door – it must have been locked by the bounty hunter, since it wasn't opening. She stepped closer, her hand reaching out towards the other woman, fingers tightening their invisible hold. "…GAH! Let me go!"

"No." Ani watched the bounty hunter attempt to continue struggling. With her hold tightened the bounty hunter couldn't even move her fingers. "You're restrained just as I was. You were okay with that, and you were okay with my stepmother trying to mind wipe me."

"No! No, I was – well, okay, I understand it looks bad –" Ani continued her death glare "– but I broke you out! I swear I did!"

"No, you didn't!" Ani hissed. "My master did. You ran with my stepmother and my look-alike as my master came in to save me." She barely noticed tendrils of concern seep through her mental bond with her master; she was that angry.

"No – well, okay, I know I misspoke, but," the woman started coughing and choking as Ani almost unconsciously tightened her hold around the neck. Almost unconsciously; she wanted this to happen. She wanted the bounty hunter to suffer, to pay for what she did to her and for what she (probably) did to her look-alike. Since her stepmother wasn't going to be prosecuted, someone had to pay.

/But it doesn't mean that you should be the one to deal out the justice/ She started.

/Master?/ Simultaneously, guilt and anger welled up inside, warring for control. She hated being seen like this by her master. She must be so ashamed to have a padawan like her.

/No, I'm not, Padawan. I've been in your shoes before, believe me. I understand that this is tough for you/ Ani filed away for that later; there was the chance that Master Luminara wasn't blindly dousing her with platitudes. She knew she'd want stories later, though. /Because I know, I want you to listen. The bounty hunter is guilty, yes. She helped do or allow bad things to happen to you. That will never go away, and I'm not saying it should. However, you shouldn't allow that to decide whether or not the bounty hunter lives or dies/ It was then that Ani noticed that the bounty hunter's face was turning blue, courtesy of the Force-choke she had her in. She pulled back from the Force-choke, but not the Force-hold. She barely noticed the coughs and gasps from the other woman as she tuned in closer to what her master was telling her.

/Bad things have happened to you, Padawan, but they haven't happened exclusively to you. Look at the larger picture here/ Subjugating her pride, Ani breathed in and out in a meditative manner, trying to clear her emotions. Her first thought? My look-alike. She sensed her Master's approving nod.

/The fact that the bounty hunter came back to talk to you means she has information she wants to share. Also, if this does end up becoming a major problem once the war ends, having someone like her who wants to help you may become an asset/ She felt herself calming down as her master continued speaking; she was glad she did. Her master knew how to help her see straight.

/No, this won't change anything that happened. Neither did the Council trial for your former master. But if you let her go and continue as she decides, you may get information we will badly need later on. Or maybe she'll escape. Who knows. Ultimately, Padawan, this isn't about whether or not those guilty will be punished, which is important. This is about whether or not you'll be able to live with your next decision as a Jedi/ That is what it boiled down to. Her actions would decide whether or not she'd continue as a Jedi, or as a darker shadow of herself. She knew what she had to do.

Despite her raging emotions, she released her entire Force hold on the bounty hunter. The woman landed on her knees before her, glancing up with a wary expression. She then slowly got to her knees as Ani crossed her arms and continued her glowering expression.

"So… ready to hear me out?" the bounty hunter asked. Ani's expression didn't change.

"Start with why you're helping my stepmother."

"It was to keep an eye on you."

"Why?" Ani asked.

"I swore an oath to protect the Kiln household. Since I was exiled from my clan, I wandered from job to job until I met your parents." Ani sensed details being left out, but for now she let it go. "They were in the market for a guard for their children, and I fit the bill."

"Why are you still working for my stepmother?"

"Officially, to protect 'you'," the bounty hunter made air quotes as she talked. "Unofficially, I've been helping her with her side projects, one of which involving your look-alike. Altogether, though, her plans involve feeding her hunger for power."

"Okay. Why are you telling me this?" Ani demanded.

"Because I swore an oath to your parents, not to her. When your mother died, your father was grief-stricken, and easily manipulated by parents of both houses to marry Marana. He asked me to keep an eye on things and on you to ensure that nothing dishonorable happened to tarnish the house or hurt those who worked for it." Despite Ani's suspicions, the Force was saying something different. So far, the bounty hunter was telling the truth.

"Still, you remained behind and did her bidding. Why do you still work for her?" she growled.

"To make sure she fails." Still no deception sensed. Before Ani could continue her line of questioning, the bounty hunter stiffened. "Damn, he's coming back." Ani heard the footsteps as well. That explained what had happened to the clone commander. "I have to go before Kiln misses me. Here." She held out a bag; Ani took it with a raised eyebrow. "Inside is the information I've gathered so far, along with something your mother left me." The bounty hunter leaped up, bounced off one wall to crouch in a corner as she pried the grate to the air vent open. Once that was taken care of, she turned back to the padawan. Ani remained silent. She would not intervene, despite her roiling emotions.

"I'm glad you found the armor. It's a good fit. Besides, you Jedi need all the help you can get, considering the war is continuing." She paused, and then continued. "I know you have no reason to believe what I'm saying, or to believe I'm any good. Investigate further, if you can, and decide for yourself. Also, think about what you've seen. Meanwhile, stay safe." A salute, and the bounty hunter disappeared. Ani shook her head and shut the grate behind her.

Gathering everything into the case, she included the bag the bounty hunter had given her. Taking a quick look inside, she saw a datapad and a holocron-shaped cube. At least she had her master and the assistance of the Jedi Archives to look into this information. The Force had said one thing to her, but she could be inexperienced and misinterpreted the bounty hunter's intentions. Master Luminara had been right, though. She needed to continue working on her anger and grief. Determined to do better, she closed the case with everything inside, took one last look around, and made for the door.

Commander Gree walked back towards the room where he'd temporarily left the padawan. He hated having to leave so abruptly, but he thought he'd seen a shadow creeping about the opposite end of the hallway. Fortunately, it turned out to be nothing. Hopefully by now the padawan was done with her packing.

When he came to less than two paces outside the doorway, it opened. Padawan Ani stood there, looking exhausted. He couldn't blame her. He'd probably feel the same if not worse. Best to leave this place behind and never return.

"Ready, Commander Ani?" he asked.

"Ready," she nodded back at him, "Commander Gree."

She never looked back as they headed outside.

The bounty hunter leaned up against a shady corner of the mansion. She knew from staking it out beforehand that there were no cameras. It was difficult to get into without being seen, but even worse to exit out of. Good thing for her Marana was hiding out with the refugees. Hopefully her excuse was still holding up. Even the techs were absent, probably due to Marana giving them an unexpected day off. That meant she could check and doctor the footage if necessary.

Her focus sharpened as she saw the older female Jedi exit from inside the shuttlecraft, taking that communiqué. She blanked her mind quickly in preparation so she couldn't detect her thoughts on accident. Fortunately for her, the Jedi looked too preoccupied. Strange that the younger one wasn't with her by now. No – there she was, walking onto the field just now. She was holding a case, and it was looking pretty bulky too. That was probably the items from the closet. Better to be used than to sit moldering away inside a dark, dank closet. Hopefully she still had the bag on her, too. She watched the Jedi Master speak – too quiet to overhear – to one of the clones.

While her master was doing so, the padawan was looking around with a narrowed gaze. She wanted to wave, but then that would spoil her fun. Her grin widened when she saw the padawan's gaze home in on her position. That was then her master decided to call her. The padawan turned back towards her master and nodded; the two of them then walked into the shuttle. Upon the clones boarding, the engines revved. After an explosion of light, the shuttlecraft headed into the atmosphere.

Bye, kid. A pleasure finally meeting you. If you were able to handle all those drugs we injected into you, you'll be okay. Maybe I convinced you. Maybe the Senator convinced you. Maybe your master will convince you. Maybe you go your own way, no matter what anyone says. Either way, I wish you the best.

The ride up to the command ship was quiet. Ani didn't want to talk, and she sensed her master didn't want to either until they were together in private. Despite her position forcing her to face her master, she looked everywhere she could except in Master Luminara's direction.

As they pulled into the hangar and began to dock, Ani felt the tension slowly begin to bleed off of her. This wasn't the Jedi Temple, but it was the next best thing. She had a purpose here, and no manipulation. Once they docked, the clones exited the ship and its immediate vicinity. They didn't have the Force, but they were skilled with discretion and knowing when to grant the Jedi privacy.

"Do you feel any better, Padawan?" Ani heard the question. She studied the floor for a moment, gathering her courage before lifting her head to meet her master's gaze.

"Not much," she admitted. "A little, but not much. But that comes with time, right?"

"Right," Master Luminara responded, her eyes and voice warm with her smile. "Time and meditation. Now that you have the Force back, you should be spending more time doing so." Normally, Ani would have groaned at that idea. Having been cut off from the Force for a couple days, however, caused her to look at it differently. Meditation wasn't such a bad idea after all.

"Right," she paused, remaining serious. "Master, about earlier – I am so sorry. I just… my anger came over me, and I couldn't' think straight, and I remembered everything she did to me, allowed to have happen to me, and I… I need to be better." She blew out a breath and glanced away. Feeling pressure enter upon her shoulders, she looked back. Master Luminara had enveloped her in a loose hug.

"Padawan, the fact that you recognize you need continual improvement in this area alone gives me hope." That she clearly sensed through their bond. Ani was comforted. "We will work on it together and evaluate your actions later. Now, we need to head back to Coruscant."

"I know. Thank you for your faith in me." Even when I didn't believe in me, she didn't add, but she didn't have to. Her master's eyes told her so. Any discussion of her actions didn't faze her; she knew she had to be better, and part of that meant she would have to own up to what she had almost done. However, that would come later. "Now, what's next, Master?"

"Master Windu explained he would divulge more information upon the moment we reached our command ship. I'm going to reestablish communications with him." She released her hug on Ani and stepped back, formal once again. Ani didn't resent it. Right now, that mask was going to help her get through the next couple days, if not a couple weeks.

"If it's all right, I'm going to deposit this in my quarters before joining you." She hefted the case up.

"That's fine by me, Padawan." Her master's brow furrowed. "Tell me, did the bounty hunter give you a holocron?"

"Yeah, along with a datapad," Ani responded.

"We should open it together," Luminara said. "As with everything that's happened, we are in this together. Also, we need to prepare all of this into a comprehensive report for the Council." This time, Ani didn't hold back a groan.

"Yes, Master," she bowed. Luminara chuckled.

"Don't worry; we'll do that together too." She smiled briefly before turning away to walk out. Ani thought of something she'd been meaning to ask after Luminara just exited the shuttle.

"Master?" Luminara turned back around. "May I wear my new armor over my Jedi garb?" Luminara looked thoughtful for a moment, and then smiled.

"Why not? It's a good look for you. It shall be useful as well."

Captain Skee hadn't had a chance to talk to the padawan at all since they returned to the estate. He wanted to do so quickly, since he had a chance now before he had to get to his station. He paused outside the door to her quarters, and took a breath.

"Well, this time I won't be disturbing her sleep, so I should be okay," he told himself, reaching upwards to knock on the door. His knuckles barely brushed the metal before it whooshed open. He looked down to see a yellow head of hair.

"Captain Skee!" she was smiling up at him. "Good to see you again! I was hoping I'd have a chance to thank you, but unfortunately we didn't have a chance." He stared down at her and nodded. He took a step back from her to fully take her in.

"Uh… Skee?" Uncertainty crept into her voice.

"No, nothing!" he said hastily. "Just… you look different." She snorted and crossed her arms.

"I believe that would be the armor." Which wasn't too far from the truth. The armor looked like it had a previous owner at one point, but didn't appear damaged despite some nicks. The shoulder pieces were joined to the chest piece, and he thought he saw a back piece as well. The color of the armor was a dark grey, only contrasted by the black cloth beneath, keeping all the armor on and connected to her person.

"Well, at least you're finally protected," was all he could say. "Now all you need is the symbol of the Jedi on the shoulder pieces."

"There was one, oddly enough," she said, a small smile on her face, "but I guess it faded over time. I'll have to redo the paint."

"Ah." He couldn't think of anything else to say, and awkward silence began to take hold. "Well, I need to get back to my station, Commander," he said as he gestured to his right. "Good to see you back again."

"Same here, Captain Skee," she returned his nod. "I must go join my master now. I'm sure I'll see you around, though." One last smile, and she was walking away from his left. They probably had more Jedi stuff to settle. Shaking his head to focus, he pivoted to walk the opposite way.

He really needed to get to his station.

Master Luminara looked down, letting the silence envelop her. Her hand lifted up, and her fingers, as though themselves burdened, fell at once. The lights dimmed, the entire room now shadowed in a manufactured twilight, and her with it. She couldn't believe what she had been told, having received the call only a standard two minutes before. To have something that grave happen to the Jedi was devastating indeed. Despite all the losses that they had sustained throughout the war, they had believed their Temple and Coruscant itself would be exempt. Apparently, she – and they – were wrong on both counts. The suspect behind such an act was also cause for concern. So many things he had to brief her on that she had had just enough time to give him a brief overview of what had transpired, plus submit a request to have her apprentice looked over by the healers and have blood work done as soon as they set down.

One hand lifted slowly towards her face, fingers ready to pinch the bridge of her nose. Given the orders she was about the issue, she needed to summon every ounce of will she had, and hide every doubt, fear, or tear she had and in regards to the latter just might shed. She inhaled deeply, willing her shaky breaths to even and deepen. She may appear to have tranquility, but that was a mere illusion now. Even illusions served their purpose, and she knew she'd need it come what may. Upon her third exhale, she heard the doors open behind her.

"Master?" Light footsteps stopped a short pace behind. "You summoned me." She turned to look – and was proud. There her padawan stood, her Jedi garb on, overlain with the armor locked away for who knew how long. Her face looked at peace for the first time in days, and through their bond she sensed a happiness that had not been as deep as before. Despite the war-like connotations that the armor brought, a peace rose inside her as well. Her padawan had successfully face a part of the past, and was ready to stand by her master in the days ahead.

"We are being called back to Coruscant. Master Yoda desires to meet with the both of us and evaluate your progress. Also, a bombing has occurred at the Jedi Temple, and an investigation is underway. From what I hear, they have leads, but nothing solid as of yet. We may know more upon our arrival."

"Yes, Master." Jedi Padawan Ani Laminara took a couple steps towards her master and one off to the right. Jedi Master Luminara Unduli nodded at her padawan, and the latter a deferential nod back. She led their team out from the gloomy communications room into the brightly lit hallway. Together, they would face the obstacles yet to come. First destination: the bridge, and eventually Coruscant.
