A/N: Ooh, a Fruits Basket story! Yay!! I love Fruits Basket and I love KyoXTohru!
It was an ordinary day in the Sohma house, Tohru was cleaning, Yuki was studying, Kyo was on the roof and Shigure was annoying the socks off of Mii by constantly avoiding working his latest novel. Yes, things were normal, except that Tohru, who was busily vacuuming, was feeling unusually daring to the point of being almost self-destructive.
She saw Kyo walk into the house, grumbling about something and she turned off the vacuum to see what he was so angry about. "What's up?" she asked, leaning the vacuum hose against a wall.
Kyo opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by the voice of Arisa yelling, "Hurry it up, Kyon-Kyon!"
"Don't call me Kyon-Kyon!" yelled Kyo, his red eyes growing darker with fury.
"Shut up and tell Tohru to come here!" Arisa yelled back.
"Yes, bring Tohru here," Saki added in that emotionless to the point of being creepy, way of hers.
"Thanks anyway," Tohru said, walking toward the door. "... Kyon-Kyon." Then, she heard a pop sound and turned to see Kyo as a cat, his eyes wide, staring at her. "Uh..." she mumbled, surprised and embarrassed. "I-I'm so sorry!" She dropped to her knees and apologized over and over again while Kyo looked totally embarrassed.
"Tohru," called Saki.
"Is everything alright in there?" asked Arisa.
"I suddenly felt odd electric waves coming from the house, is everything okay?" inquired Saki.
"Uh—every thing's fine," she told them as Kyo reverted back to being a human. "C-Could you come back later? I'm a bit busy... vacuuming!"
"Sure," replied Arisa. "We'll be back later."
"Yes, we'll be back," repeated Saki.
"Later, Kyon-Kyon," teased Arisa.
"Fuck you!" shouted Kyo angrily, not yet noticing his nudity.
Tohru gasped, and then turned away, apologizing a million times a minute.
"I-It's okay," Kyo replied through grit teeth, grabbing his clothes. "Just forget about it."
Tohru turned and smiled apologetically. "Oh, I-I just wanted to t-tell you something."
"What?" he asked, starting to leave.
"Kyon-Kyon?" She just had to make sure.
Another pop was heard and Kyo was a kitty again. It was her turn to blush. So it was her that did it.
"Will you quit that?!" yelled Kyo, blushing once again.
She smiled softly and knelt beside him, picking Kyo up and cuddling him in her arms. Kyo couldn't help but blush even more, completely shocked by the simple act.
Tohru whispered in his kitty ears, "I like you, too... Kyon-Kyon."
Kyo smiled despite himself and chuckled a little, nuzzling her cheek lovingly.
Yuki and Shigure walked into the room.
"Ooh," Shigure said, inclining his head to see more.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING TO HONDA-SAN, YOU FILTHY CAT?!" Yuki yelled angrily.
Neither responded, however. When Kyo went back to human form, he said, "I guess you can call me that."
Tohru smiled and whispered, "Kyon-Kyon" then kissed him softly on the lips.
