Kairi sat with her back against the wooden, knobless door. She hadn't expected anyone to come and see her, she had wanted peace. She looked over at the picture she and sora had drawn as kids on the wall. It was scribbly and childish, but to her it was beautiful. She beleived that deep down, she and sora would be together when they were older, but for now, they were just 15 year olds. She liked sora enormously, but she worried about his return of affections. Riku, on the other hand, wore it on his sleeve and didn't mind hiding it. She preferred Sora though, simply because of his kind nature and big heart.

Then Sora walked into the secret place.

Sora walked into the secret place, looking for Kairi. He found her. "Kairi?" he said. She was sitting against the door, looking at the little drawing they had made as kids.

Kairi wiped unnoticed tears from her eyes. "Yeah?" She blushed. She didn't even know why she was crying, only that someone had hurt her, and that it made her sad.

"Kairi...I'm so sorry," he said. She was sad and hurt. She broke down into tears again. "Shh..." he said, pulling her into his arms. He hoped she didn't feel awkward.

Kairi blushed. She felt embarrased.

Sora smiled. "Sorry,"he said. "Listen...what can we do to make you feel better?" he asked. "I know," he said, running out of the secret place. Sora grabbed a paopu fruit from the tree and ran back to the secret place. "Kairi...will you share it with me?" he asked.

"Sora..." she began, blushing. "Yes," she said. Sora's face beamed. They split the fruit in half. "Sora...thank you," she said. The two of them began to eat their halves. The fruit was sweet, combining the tast of banana, pinapple, mango, and spices. "I'm so happy!" she said.

Sora ate his half. "Kairi...I have to say something," he said. "I...I..." he began, but he was at a loss for words. He couldn't speak. "Sora?" he heard her say. "Kairi," he said. She looked at him with confused eyes. He couldn't tell her straightout. "I-" he began, but couldn't. He decided to show her. She awaited patiently for him to say something. He leaned forward and kissed her.

Kairi sat, looking at him, hoping he would say what he needed to say. She wasn't prepared for his warm, soft lips to come crashing down on her. She opened her eyes wide at first, then closed them and let it sink in. One of his hands cupped her cheek, and the other held her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck. Her mouth opened of it's own accord and she let out a little sigh. He broke the kiss, and she whispered breathlessly, "Sora...I think I love you." Before he could say anything, She leaned in and kissed him again.
