A/N: This fic might end up having some more chapters if I write more really short stories (in which case I'll change the current title, "Oreos", to something more generic), since I don't want to spam the PW section; in that case, each "chapter" will be its own oneshot.

This particular drabble was a response to the kink meme (my first one, too! I dunno why I didn't upload it before Shadows Passing, though); the prompt was slice of life, so here's Edgeworth and Phoenix eating Oreos. You can interpret their relationship however you'd like.

Oreos

Edgeworth was suddenly distracted by the sounds of Wright digging something out of his desk. "Could you be any louder doing that?" he asked, still trying to read the case file.

"Sorry." He didn't need to look to see the other's embarrassed grin. "But, um, do you want an Oreo?"

"What?"

"You know, an Oreo." Edgeworth stared at him blankly. "Milk's favorite cookie?" Wright continued, staring back now. "You—you don't know what an Oreo is?"

"I have better things to do with my time than to connoisseur different types of American baked goods," he replied, raising an eyebrow.

Something was suddenly snatched from his hands. He looked up, blinking, and saw Wright holding his case files with that infuriatingly smug look on his face. "No more reading until you've eaten one," he said. "Or several, more like. I'm getting milk." And he left, still holding the reports.

Edgeworth sighed. Leave it to Wright to be… Wrightish. Always so stubborn. When the defense attorney returned with two glasses of milk in his hands, and, he noted with annoyance, no case files, he made sure to give him his best glare.

Wright flashed him a winning smile in return. "It's my job to make sure you experience all the bits of childhood you missed out on," he said. "I've got it all planned out—next week we're going to play street hockey, and then the week after that we're going to get addicted to online gaming." He handed him one of the glasses.

The prosecutor smiled in spite of himself and accepted the milk, along with an Oreo—it looked like two slabs of chocolate cookie surrounding something white and creamy. It was on his way to his mouth when Wright stopped him: "No, no, you're doing it wrong."

"I wasn't aware that there was a correct way to consume one of these."

The smug look was back. "Well, there is. You have to do it like this—" and here he pulled one apart and began to lick off the white filling.

"Wright, that's disgusting."

"Nuh-uh," the other said, popping the remainder of the Oreo into his mouth and downing it with milk. "It's delicious." He smirked. "If that's too crass for you, though, you should still at least pull it apart."

Edgeworth couldn't see the point in destroying a perfectly good cookie, but he separated the two halves anyway so that Wright would stop lecturing him. "Happy?"

"Very. Now just dip it in milk and eat."

After a brief roll of his eyes, he did so, then placed it carefully into his mouth, finding himself pleasantly surprised at the sweet taste of the Oreo dissolving on his tongue. "Good," he said.

Wright grinned and handed him another cookie.
