I just watched the TMNT 2007 movie with my best friend, and we kept on seeing LeoApril happening, so it gave me the idea for this oneshot (with her help, of course). So here it is.

Summery: SPOILERS! Sometimes you can only dream of what you want. Onesided LeoApril.

Thoughts:

He could have come back for his brothers, he could have come back because he wanted to, but he didn't, and it kills him little by little. He came back for a reason that he couldn't even admit. He came back for her, and he knew that he could never have her.

Maybe it was how she pleaded or maybe it had to do with catching her as she fell. He thinks it's because out of everyone, she was the first that he saw, and he realized how much he missed her after she left the cave. He couldn't stop thinking.

He tried so hard to stop thinking, about her, her words, her face, holding her for those few moments.

It suddenly hit him, one night as he kept an eye on a village on a freezing night. He liked April. Not the typical crush, as he used to feel for her, it was something far stronger. Was it love or lust, he couldn't really be certain, but he knew that he needed to go back. But after returning, he found it hard to face it, face the feeling that she was why he came back, so he made up an excuse, a small bluff to keep his father and brothers off track.

But the way Raph greeted him; he knew for certain that his brother could see through his bluff. However, his brother didn't know why, and he knew that he would not allow his brother to find out.

But it was Raph's fault he had to face her, going out recklessly after their father had found out they went against orders. It was hard to keep his emotions in check seeing her excitement, seeing he had come home. Luckily the distraction of his brother kept his mind in check.

He still couldn't help but imagine her, and he still couldn't help but want her, even after the whole event with Winters and the portal occurred.

Speaking with her after that ordeal made his heart throb, and seeing her relationship with Casey made him realize how far he was from getting to spend at least one day with her. However, it didn't make him stop thinking about her less, or the hopes of her being his one day.

But even though he couldn't have her in reality, he knew he could always have her in his dreams.
