Okay, everyone, here's the next one. The promp for this was, "It's always the quiet ones, you know?" InfinityStar knows I can never pass up a challenge... Enjoy!
CICICICICICICICICICI
Bobby felt almost out of place in here, unlike every other place he had been to. He wasn't quite sure of what to do with it.
On the other hand, his partner seemed to be just fine, going from area to area and looking around. He sighed softly.
She made her way back to him, her hands on her hips. "Bobby, what's wrong with you?" she asked. "This was your idea."
"It's always the quiet ones, you know?"
She frowned. "What do you mean?"
He pointed to a closed in area with puppies, who quickly began jumping at the glass and yipping, trying wildly to garner attention. In the back sat a lonely black puppy, with a single white spot on his ear. "It's always the quiet ones that never get picked. They just... don't."
She looped her arm through his. She knew exactly what he meant, and she leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Let's get that one," she murmured, and a smile lit up his face.
"Really? A-are you sure...?"
She nodded firmly and caught the eye of a smiling young woman who worked at the pet store. Kneeling down in front of the puppies, she pointed to the one in the very back. "We'd like that one."
"The black one?" Alex nodded, and the young woman smiled and reached down, lifting the pup out of the containment area.
She settled the squirming pup in Bobby's arms, and Alex couldn't miss the way he lit up as he let the puppy lick his nose. "Are you ready to go now?" she asked.
He nodded. The quiet ones were never picked, but this one was. He smiled the whole way home.
The End
A/N: I hope ya'll enjoyed this. I thought that it would be very Bobby, considering that he seems like he might've been treated like a runt as a kid. Please review!
